Just out of curiosity and to increase my current state of somewhat mild arousal - IF Benitez gets the job what would he need to do out of the following to get you personally on side with him?

1. Win a trophy
2. Qualify for Europe
3. Win a Goodison Derby
4. Win a Anfield Derby
5. None of the above
1-4 for me. Though that would only stop me shouting at him. I'd still not be happy.

Just play attractive football and not be a 'small club' with 10 men behind the ball as he so nicely put it.

That's a lot of wrong in one post

I mean this is just a small snippet of how wrong this knobhead is about just about everything he comments on. Reading his posts also suggests that he wanks himself off hourly to images of Benitez, the defence he mounts for him is quite something. If only his mum had showed the same stern defence against his dad we wouldn't have to read this bollocks.

All of the above, including curling a massive fat one down infront of the Kop.

None of that will happen though, so I won't be onside with him in the slightest.

I said I'll support the club through Allardyce out of necessity, this isn't that, this is poor leadership and being downright unimaginative. Nothing to do with him managing the RS, or the small club thing (even though both absolutely matter), its the fact that he is a has been, on a downward trend and that is not what this club needs.

2 and 4 off the bat first season is minimum requirements

5 I guess

I genuinely loathe him more than anyone else in football, but if I think about it it's generally because of how much of a complete jizz rag he was when he was at Liverpool. The meal snub which spurned nearly 40 years of Merseyside tradition, the small club stuff, the general arrogance and just him using every opportunity to throw veiled digs in etc

The whole problem is that I'm sure this got Liverpool fans on board, but it's done at the expense of other clubs. He did it with Chelsea too and look how they treated him. You can't suddenly expect to be welcomed with open arms after you've gone down that road. Live by the sword... etc

So winning games, trophies etc just wouldn't cut it. I can't articulate exactly what it would be that he'd need to do, but it would need to be more than that.

If he won at Anfield and celebrated by planting an Everton flag on the pitch in front of the Kop, lifting his shirt to reveal a tattoo of our badge covering his ample belly and followed it up by knocking at my front door, on his knees asking for my approval, I reckon that might just about thaw the ice.

Realistically though, I don't see how it happens

If he achieves 2 the majority of fans won't care about him anymore, Sorry if people don't want to hear this message.
