5 I guess

I genuinely loathe him more than anyone else in football, but if I think about it it's generally because of how much of a complete jizz rag he was when he was at Liverpool. The meal snub which spurned nearly 40 years of Merseyside tradition, the small club stuff, the general arrogance and just him using every opportunity to throw veiled digs in etc

The whole problem is that I'm sure this got Liverpool fans on board, but it's done at the expense of other clubs. He did it with Chelsea too and look how they treated him. You can't suddenly expect to be welcomed with open arms after you've gone down that road. Live by the sword... etc

So winning games, trophies etc just wouldn't cut it. I can't articulate exactly what it would be that he'd need to do, but it would need to be more than that.

If he won at Anfield and celebrated by planting an Everton flag on the pitch in front of the Kop, lifting his shirt to reveal a tattoo of our badge covering his ample belly and followed it up by knocking at my front door, on his knees asking for my approval, I reckon that might just about thaw the ice.

Realistically though, I don't see how it happens
Totally forgot about the meal snub.

Houllier and Moyes did it and Benitez then jibbed Moyes invite didn’t he.

The meal thing goes back an awful lot longer than Houllier and Moyes

I was at an LMA dinner many years ago when Moyes was asked about this (company I worked for were involved on the sponsorship side of the LMA - effectively it was part of my job to get clients to attend dinners and we'd have a couple of speakers from the LMA there as well as speakers about work stuff)

Sticks out particularly in my mind as Moyes mentioned that Kenwright had told him that Paisley invited Gordon Lee out for dinner and he believed it had been going on ever since
