Maybe but then look at Silva and Martinez both failed eventually with results and they were certainly meant to be builders who played with an identity. Silva showed less than Bobby granted. Just saying its not an easy job as we expect a level of results and finish but we are also hoping to develop/implement an identity/build.. We need to find a Poch/Rogers not sure who that it is though.

That first season got Martinez a lot of credit though, that’s how we (and the squad) wanted to play and the majority of the time it worked. Sadly he tore that down with the results we all saw.

I'd like a manager that has experience of taking an under performing club and transforming it into a club that is challenging and winning honours.

He should be relatively well experienced in a major league, still be relatively young so that he can be reasonably expected to be around in the long term (5+ years, though hopefully longer). Should be proficient in English.

I honestly have no idea who that is. Not anyone readily available that's for sure. I do hope that the people responsible for the next appointment have a target and a plan to get them in.

Yes. Probably Howe as well and even Martinez.

Working out who the next manager is will be as much about determining who is going to take/influence the appointment.
Bill should not be anywhere near the decision. Mosh needs to step back too. Brands should decide otherwise he isn't doing the full dof role.

Howe joint favourite now, I say this being deadly serious I'd be more gutted about Howe coming than I was when fat Sam coming.

With Sam you just knew it was a short term fix but with Howe you feel they are putting their trust in him to make us great again.

Someone put me out of my misery

Rangnick

....he’s an interesting one. Before Ancelotti was appointed he went from 33-1 to just about favourite overnight. I appreciate it doesn’t take much to move these markets, but there were no articles or rumours linking him. I did wonder if Brands had tried to make contact.

On that basis alone, I admit to having a very small interest at 40-1.
It literally takes a few hundred quid.

They're utterly meaningless as a gauge until you get to 1/10 and lower... and even then, they're questionable.

Don't think AVB was ever favourite at tighter than about 2 or 3/1

It's either Rafael or Eddie Howe

Dunc wouldn't drop us the moment a other club looked at him, he would get the lads fired up like no one else. He's one of us.

Supposed to be tactically OK too and his tenure went well 18 Months ago.

Maybe it's time to give him a try, if he wants it.
