That’s it though isn’t it. Maybe the cost has become so high people can’t bear to lose the money nowadays. In the past though we had terribly low attendances when the fans weren’t happy. Now it’s becoming more and more popular.

It's a silly quote when you analyse it closely. The team and the manager always want three points but sometimes he sets them up for a clean sheet and hopes to score because he doesn't think they're likely to win any other way.

A lack of confidence from its manager doesn't make Everton FC, or any other club small and Benitez knows that.

What needed to be done?

Like saddling the club with massive debts that crippled us from being able to spend and being completely inept at being able to bring money into the club through any means? I remember when Sunderland had a £20m a year sponsorship deal and we had a £1m a year deal with chang and he locked us into that stupid deal with kitbag for 10 bloody years.

The only thing kenwright did that "needed to be done" was make sure he stayed in a position of power. That ment never hiring anyone with any brains at the club and then finding the only billionaire dumb enough to let him hang around the club as chairman.

Any owner with any brains would of booted him out the door as soon as the ink was dry on the deal to buy his shares.

The lack of any statement so far from the club is leading all this frenzied conjecture within the fanbase and the media I think,even stating "we are currently interviewing candidates"would suffice,in my mind I'm thinking they may not even have started "the process" ;) :oops:

They are on to interview 436 with Benitez. He will tell you himself when he logs back on. @Theoneandonly
