Rumour was posted on here a couple of days ago Joey, so he may have read it on here or someone who seen it here mentioned it to him.
I tend not to post on this thread because of the hysteria of -Raffa - but let's face it I don't want him, but if he fails he gets sacked like any other Manager who has flopped - I feel the cousins who are reds that I speak to are more fuming than the posters on here.

They feel he is being disloyal to that lot ........ a traitor etc -

Anyone coming to us has an uphill task , but if they are good, whoever it is they can turn us around .....

Think back - a year before success - HK & Carter OUT daubed all over the place ....

What were they saying a few seasons later ???????

Personally I would like someone different - he who pays the piper calls the tune.... clubs to not depend on attendances today its Sky money.....

Sad but true

Someone mentioned club taking their time so fans get used to the idea. Think that's right and probably the best thing to do.

It softens fans up and gets everyone resigned to it. No way they were going to announce Benitez out of the blue. If they're going to do it, this weekend is right time to announce it - gone on long enough now.

Wouldn't have been my choice, but if he's our manager, I'm behind him 100%.
If that is the goal they are bigger idiots than I thought (which is saying something....). Nobody is getting softened up or used to it, we are just getting angrier and more frustrated.

If they appoint him it will be a dumpster fire of unusual proportion, even by our standards

Your style of writing terrifies me.

He's Zidane ffs. He was managing the youth side and got promoted. It's like us giving the job to Big Dunc.
So you are now saying it doesn't come down to managerial stature. It comes down to having a past association with Madrid. That explains why Toshack, Camacho, Del Bosque, Zidane and Carlo have been given the job on multiple occasions.

Well, that sounds like there is as out of the 4 managers only 1 (Silva) was the high press, modern type manager. The fact we had Nuno on the shortlist too says that maybe the board want reassurance rather than flamboyance.

It's all about time for me. Moyes got time, Martinez got time. None of Mosh's picks have - Carlo was out of his hands and I personally thought he was the one
If the strategy has been so clear under Moshiri, why is our squad so ill equipped to execute that strategy?

Chelsea fans gave him a hard time etc its bound to happen - the irony is we have had players who became stars Reidy was a red all his family were.....
Johnny Morrissey started on the Liverpool ground staff we pinched him for £10,000 - bill Shankly had a fit as he was on holiday, threatened to resign if they pulled a stunt like that again - Moggsy gave us ten good seasons - no moans about him being a red then....
Sheedy, Beardsley, etc etc every player we signed never let us down...

I know it so hard a former LFC manager - we are maybe clutching straws, but if he fails then he will be sacked like the rest before him .....

Announcing him out of the blue would make far more sense from a fume management perspective, I don’t get why people keep saying this. People have literally graffitied the ground today, 4 weeks after it was first mentioned as a possibility and 10 days after it was revealed to be likely. People are getting angrier, not more relaxed. Anyone who has ever worked in comms (or has ever had to make an unpopular decision in life) could have predicted that to be the case.

The week long Nazi apologizing in the RS thread a particular example of this.

I prefer it when he is just chatting wham about football managers tbh.
I've gotten to a point now where I see a poster and just scroll past. Nothing registers.
I'm getting that way with all things Everton too lately.

I only come here to take the piss tbh.
At least there's still a steady supply of complete cockwombles to oblige
