Torres, Alonso and Mascherano were already well known names. Garcia wasn't that good and is know mainly for a ghost goal, Bellamy, Aurelio and Arbeloa. Really? And he didn't even sign Barry!

Making up signings to shout down an Evertonian? What on earth is going on here?
haha. Oh no, I 'shouted someone down' did I?
I deliberately listed Barry cos everyone knows he was desperate to sign him, to illustrate my point he knows a good player.

Lot of head's gone on here.

I don't care Benitez managed the RS. Doesn't bother me that he said "small club" because it's how people on the dark side are, they just belittle everyone.

The horrible bit will be us at the Hole punch. I just hope by then he's either made such a good impact that we will be the ones chanting his name, or he'll have gone.

Apart from actual silverware the 2 things that I want from any manager is real progress in the league and some decent football. Because no disrespect to Mr Ancelotti but Everton last season and before that too has been unimaginably dire to watch. I still watch because i'm a blue but it's painful :(. Sure there could have been other managers we'll just have to hope there's some logic behind the scenes.

Can't see many fans chanting his name though!

I'd never heard of Alonso before Liverpool bought him. Torres was fairly well known but not a household name, ditto Mascherano. They left as world class players.

I'm not being horrible mate, but we finished 31 points clear of the drop zone last season, with over twice as many points as the side 18th. If we are anywhere near a relegation dogfight under the net manager, they will need to be removed. He has solid foundations to work upon.

That was because we had one of the best managers of all time at the helm with James Rodriguez Allan Digne Richalrison DCL in the team.

We all saw how poor the results were when any of those players were missing. A lesser manager with some of those players missing or disinterested and that points gap disappears very quickly especially if the newly promoted teams are decent.
