Absolutely don't want him in but since he is getting it I hope he does better than everyone's lord and saviour Don Carlo. Pointless going into actively wanting him sacked, I hope he walks into mordor and comes out with 20% possession and 3 points, guiding us to the champions league.

With that said the second we lose one game I will revert to my default position of calling him a fat pudding and hoping he gets sacked

Ok fair enough. So I'll ask again, how many wins/draws you want us to get? What sort of points target do you want us to hit?
Again, it's not about points. Anything less than 8th would be disappointing. However many wins/draws is needed to achieve that next season is the minimum amount I want us to get.

Different seasons require different points. Last season was strange. 18th got only 28 points. 2nd got only 74. You expect more points from both the top and bottom teams.

I'll never accept him. Hope he loses every game and we get relegated by Pancake Tuesday. Hate RS much more than I love Everton
Not accepting him is one thing but wanting your team to lose every game and get relegated just because of how much you hate a team that he managed over a decade ago is pretty pathetic to be honest. I couldn't want the blues to lose even a single game no matter what the situation was.

I even got behind us when we put FS in charge and had that tosser Sammy Lee running down the touch line. Lowest of the low for me that and we played some proper grim footy under him but who would have thought that one of the most successful and decorated managers on the planet (Carlo) would end up actually playing some worse footy than we did under FS as that is exactly what happened in Carlo's last few months.

Who knows what is ahead, anything is possible but its Everton all the way for me no matter what.

I don’t want 8th or 5th or bleeding 2nd. I want to win the title, and if we can’t then I want a shiny Cup win. It’s this lowering of expectations that gets me.....

I don't really know how to feel about Rafael Benitez (potentially, as of now, I think) managing Everton. He has experience, sure, but can we really call his work after Liverpool a success? He followed Mourinho at two clubs (Inter, Real), and did not hit the highs expected. Plus, he had a spell with Chelsea, where he admittedly won the Europa league, but Napoli, NewCastle and Dalian?

Plus, I can't really forgive him the jibe of "Small club" that he made when he was at Liverpool, as a follower sitting thousands of miles away, I did not really care about Liverpool till then. That was the moment I started disliking everything "Liverpool Football Club". He walked back that comment, when he was being considered for the job during the time Everton was a carousel for managers, not before that, I think. I hated him with all my guts then. After he faded away from Liverpool, my dislike for him lessened, but I still dislike him enough to not be happy about him being Everton manager.

I won't really turn my back if he does get appointed (can't would be a better choice of words), but I don't think I will be enthused about it either. I will still be supporting Everton, but..... :(
