Well I can’t speak for the fans, but according to a local journalist. Rafael has done a much better job. And Newcastle fans wouid have him back in heartbeat apparently.

Also Bruce has spent money. And going off stats, which is not really my bag, but what this journalist also said. Bruce’s Newcastle were in a false position. But like big Sam for us. Near the bottom of the league, for possession, chances and shots at goal

Newcastle fans only criteria for goodness is the managers willingness to critisise Mike Ashley tbf

If Bruce came out tomorrow and had a rant about Ashley they would love him

I honestly can’t get my head around any blue wanting the team to fail & lose games in order to get a manager out the club quicker!
Or to purposely go to games to make the managers job harder by booing him. By doing that you are effectively wanting us to lose games! Crazy

And btw I didn’t want him either but it is what it is and I want my team to win games and try to achieve something which becomes even harder the more vile we are at games

The positive I’m going to take is that Benitez surely can’t have taken the role without guarantees of a serious transfer budget. Anything else and he’s just setting himself up for a load of abuse and an early sacking. He won’t need the cash after his Chinese experience so fingers crossed moshiri/usmanov are loosening the purse strings

Strong opinion.

I never associated Benitez with obsession but if he applies that in our favour it can't be bad.

Ancelotti for me never displayed that type of zeal and energy and it was borne out in the end. He shirked the fight.

Martinez was for me the last manager to approach the job with any real zest, even though it was sadly misplaced in his case.

I’ve always hated the people in here revelling at dcl missing a chance so they could say ‘I told you so’ as an example, plenty of other players that have an ‘I told you so’ brigade as well, but I’ll find it very difficult to support this guy managing our club no matter how we play and how the results go.

Isn't he quite good in tournaments as a manager? FA cup, league Cup, whatever. Just bring some success to the club and if he can do it then we should all be behind him

Interesting point this, but if we had the guarantee of funds surly we could of attracted someone else? also we have shown can spend money but easily waste it

Daily Mail reporting that significant transfer funds are expected to be available. Mind you other tabloids have said we’re skint so who knows?! lol

Strong opinion.
