Acting for the good of the club would have been not appointing the most divisive manager available.

People can support the team without supporting the manager. Its not up to anyone to tell others how they should feel about Benitez. The chill out support the team shouts are part of the reason why this club are a shambles who have been in decline for over 30 years.

This appointment doesn't happen at a club with competency or the desire to compete at the top level.

Well take that up with Usmanov/Moshiri.

Getting on the managers back from fixture 1 will have a direct effect on the team as well. Im sick of our seasons been over by December and watching us play for 11th spot.

Those fans who want our season to be over come September just so they can say I told you so and Benitez be sacked can do one as they are acting like spoilt kids.

And again I dont like Benitez and dont want him as manager - but im willing to overlook my personal feelings towards the bloke until at least December and see how he does. If others cant do that then for me stay at home and rant away.

If only the same level of unrest was going on whilst Agent Kenwright had us on the brink of ruin, selling our best players to pay off the banks whilst knocking back middle eastern investment so he could keep hold of his trainset. Couldn't agree more. in my own humble opinion I believe the club needs a clear out from top to bottom as apart from the odd fleeting moment the past 26 years have been hard to stomache as a supporter. Believe ancelloti presided over some of the worst football ever witnessed at Goodison so for him now to be bleeting on his success is also a head scratcher.

One of the echo pieces yesterday , which smacked of an off the record briefing, emphasised our Iranian Penfolds determination to see this appointment through.
it alluded to the replication of Abramovich’s style in hiring and firing managers despite occasional hostility from their support.

I mean hes fat, Spanish and looks like he waits tables. Seems like a fairly easy assumption to make.

If you really want to get into it though, if its anything you could call it bigoted but its definitely not racist.

Either way hes our FSW now (God thats a depressing sentence) and I've had my little tantrum about him being appointed now I've calmed down and accepted hes coming so I'm just going to get behind him and hope he does well.

I'm hopeing that Moshiri and usmanov just soften the appointment with a decent transfer kitty and we can start looking forward to next season.
