I just have no idea what Benitez will shake up really.

He needs to start with one of these...

How on earth have you linked this with Tommy Robinson? Seriously?
Lazy stereotyping- do you go away following us - have to listen to “feed the scousers” “sign on ...” etc etc week in week out from the opposing morons.

We get this crap thrown at us all the time - you’d think it’d be something we’d be acutely sensitive to but with a section of our fan base apparently not

- using FSW is racism
- if we lose it is because the fans have made it toxic
- he plays 3-4-3 not just the one up front he has always, always played
- people hate him only due to one single comment
- the protesting fans are to blame

Absolutely incredible. The integrity of mottled lettuce.
The levels of defending his appointment is utterly astonishing good Frandel, sad times

Only way to prove to people wrong is to keep going until it gets right.
Which is his prerogative as owner.
For me I’ve lost a little faith in the direction we are taking and beneath the anger I am experiencing with this appointment , a sense of ennui with Everton is taking hold.

I mean hes fat, Spanish and looks like he waits tables. Seems like a fairly easy assumption to make.

If you really want to get into it though, if its anything you could call it bigoted but its definitely not racist.

Either way hes our FSW now (God thats a depressing sentence) and I've had my little tantrum about him being appointed now I've calmed down and accepted hes coming so I'm just going to get behind him and hope he does well.

I'm hopeing that Moshiri and usmanov just soften the appointment with a decent transfer kitty and we can start looking forward to next season.

Yeah, I think grumbles would simmer if he brought some surprising quality in.

And thinking about it...I wouldn't be surprised if Mosh has got Brands to get a marquee signing just to combat the reaction

Tommy Robinson, or Stephen Yaxley Lennon to give him his proper name, deliberately stokes up fires against anyone either not born in the UK or is British born into a non catholic/Christian family

Mancs, Cockneys etc singing about scousers being poor, taunts about players/managers weight and/or height is not even in the same ballpark

Surely it’s not racism just stating someone’s nationality? It’s not bad stereotyping like calling a Mexican lazy or saying an Asian isn’t well endowed, those are clearly racist comments, it’s just saying he is fat, he is Spanish and he looks like he waits tables.
Feel free to call me a fat English Evertonian, I might be a little sensitive about my weight as lockdown has been hard but I have no qualms about being called English…

I dont think he's the right appointment, for purely football/style reasons. I don't care what he said in the past or who he used to manage. If he proves me wrong and brings some degree of success to the club I won't complain. At the end of the day, he's a professional and I expect him to carry out his duties professionally. I don't think he's joining us so that he can wreck the club from the inside. Professionally, he tried his best at chelsea and got some success and they had the same misgivings a lot of us are currently expressing.
Although the negativity is totally understandable, throwing him to the wolves from the beginning won't do the club, players or the coaching staff any favours. I want what's best for the club, and if that means putting up with this strange appointment, then I'll give the club and him my support.

Is it stereotyping? Are the Spanish well known to be waiters? I’ve never been served by one and have always thought it was more to do with the way he presented himself, particularly the kind of clothes he wore and his goatee.
I remember hearing someone got a ban from Goodison once for calling Saha a lazy French [Poor language removed] and I never really understood how that was racist either, the French aren’t stereotypically lazy, would’ve made been a racist stereotype if he’d been called cowardly. Seems people get upset just because you mention someone else’s country of origin nowadays… I’m sure Saha wouldn’t have cared he was called French seeing as he is French.

On social media it is but not at the game certainly not first season anyway imo.

As I've said before Benitez is an easy target to heckle - same as Alladyce he hasn't appointed himself the fans getting all fired up need to take it up with Usmanov/Moshiri.

I think this is where he has an opportunity though, where in his first press conference he can change some perceptions. It's up to him whether he takes that opportunity.
