Wait I can't be ironic two days running, no one told me.Nope he wasn't actually mate. He said a similar thing yesterday. Be surprised if he is even an Evertonian. Pathetic one if he is.

i'll be booing before a ball is even kicked, at southampton at home and every stadium up and down the country i follow the blues to. he's a stain on the club and it will need washing out. if someone who cares about this club is a clown in your eyes, then hey ho. it just shows the division he would cause. its avoidable, but its on the board of directors this one.
Any Manager has to gain affection - where ever is background is - any Manager will be rewarded or sacked on performances - results etcIf the club does appoint him, I will never have the affaction for him that I hold for Harry Catterick, Billy Bingham, Howard Kendall.
Mate, it doesn't matter if the reaction is rational or not, it matters of it is going to happen or not. Do you honestly think that there's going to be no animosity towards Benitez in the ground? If you don't then you have a higher opinion of humanity than I do. If you do then you have to ask the question "is hiring him worth it?", he won't be given the benefit of the doubt by a massive proportion of the crowd, not just the ones who are initially hostile to him. Normally, a manager has a period in which to get his point if view and style of plan embedded in a squad and the fans won't judge them to harshly if results aren't brilliant for a while. I just don't see Benitez getting that. Couple that with a very easy looking first few fixtures that we are all expecting a decent haul of points from. If that doesn't happen Benitez, and therefore the whole club, will be on the back foot all season. The press are going to love this whole storyline as well so we're going to be everywhere for a while. Of course he might have an alright start, I'm not a fortune teller, but there will obviously come a time where we have a bad run of form and it'll go toxic way quicker than with any other manager. It's just not worth it for me, particularly at the wage we'll end up paying him.Says who?
Football fans are so precious - abuse the players/managers sound but if they dare fire something back you have grown men crying and throwing their rattles out the pram.
You would think Benitez had done a Cantona on an 80 year old supporter in the family enclosure the way some carry on.
Billy Bingham? If the club does appoint him, I will never have the affaction for him that I hold for Harry Catterick, Billy Bingham, Howard Kendall.
You’ve changed your tune blue boyTotally agree mate. I'll be making Goodison as toxic as possible before a ball's even been kicked. Hope he loses every game, we get relegated and Moshiri bails before we get anywhere BMD.
Some good points mate. Thing is we've got some absolute mugs who'd rather see us get beat every game and get him sacked. Even if it means threat of relegation.
We’re Evertonians not Benitezonions, you can want the players to win games and not get behind the manager, they aren’t mutually exclusiveAny win will feel like a dagger to the heart for you
well put, its just not worth it. i do not understand why the club are declairing war on a large portion of its own fans. completely avoidable. i understand some people will just accept it. but i'm one of the ones who wont. i get it some will want me to sit down and swear less at the fat mess, i wont. moshiri knows the risk and the gamble he's taking here. dont blame the fans who are vocally opposed to this, blame moshiri for putting the club in this position. there are numerous other managers out there. none of come with guarentees of success, but none of them come with as much of a guarentee of hostility that the fat mess does.Mate, it doesn't matter if the reaction is rational or not, it matters of it is going to happen or not. So let me ask this question mate:
If the choice is Benitez who could say get 7th and us back into Europe or Scott Parker who has us 13th in the table who you would pick?
Because contrary to common belief I dont believe we have agents of world class managers like Conte and Poch knocking down our door wanting this job - only for the owners to say "nah m8 you're alright we dont want a top level manager who the fanbase will love and respect us for bringing in we want that fat ex kopite fella who the fans will hate us for bringing in" that makes no sense therefore its not likely to be the case.
Whether people like it or not Benitez is probably the best manager currently available therefore by saying you would want a lesser manager and as a consequence a greater chance of Everton doing badly because "at least he aint an ex Red" isn't being a supporter in my opinion its just petty tribalism.
And if we sack him a few games in good luck when someone like eddie Howe ends up his replacement oh well eee aint a RS doh.

The thing is, I don't think people believe this is true...So let me ask this question mate:
