As mentioned elsewhere, as a ploy i dont see how more offensive this is than seeing banners at Goodison or planes flying overhead - because apart from the nonsense about knowing where people may or may not live, the sentiment is the same.

He should be nowhere near our club.
Whilst I agree with the final para your initial sentence is so far wide of the mark to be embarrasing. There is an obvious and clear distnction here and if you honestly can't see it then I can't be arsed explaining it to you.

No. Just no.

This is football for christ sake, some people need to sit down, look in the mirror and seriously contemplate their life choices. Whoever wrote that does not deserve to be called an Evertonian, it is not what we should be standing for.

You may disagree with club decisions on and off the pitch but come on, grow up.

My stance, has not changed one iota since the announcement was made that he was in the running. It is a feeling of 'We'll see'. There is no doubting he has pedigree at all types of club situation, so I will certainly be giving him time to settle in and won't jump on the Benitez out bandwagon, that will certainly occur, after one defeat.

Erm - a death threat issued to him and his family gets him solidarity with any rational human being.

I will respect this man for coming here under this cloud and trying to do a job for us.

100% backing from me now.

Comical as usual.

You already confirmed you were actively willing him to take the job on the basis you thought the 3 bed sheets tied outside Goodison was too much of a protest on Saturday night.

I've renamed you Dave "3 sheets" K

I don’t think top level football managers care about the criticism of an odd few fans. They get booed week in week out. I doubt Benitez even gives one about the banners.

Dave Hickson didn't manage them! He was also about 30 years before my time!

I don't really care what you think about the appointment anyway, why would that change what I think about it? (that sounds a lot more confrontational than it's meant to be by the way).

I honestly don't get the people trying to change my (or other peoples) mind on this. Good for you if you are going to be OK with it. I am not. That's OK though I have options. I don't have to just sit there and take it like a drone, I can do something else with my time if I have to.
Trust me mate, life is far too short to agonise over who is going to manage Everton for a short while.

…whilst we can’t condone such abysmal behaviour, it’s probably a very sad part of life to those in the public eye these days. Cowardly individuals behind anonymous threats on social media or banners at Goodison Park.

I dare say even Leighton Baines might have had a nasty message or two over the years.
That's beneath you. Or should be.
