Wish I had a friggin clue who any of them are o_O such is my European knowledge. Sound like chess players.
Queen’s Gambit is a cracking series!

At this stage I just want the board to appoint the right person, regardless of where they come from. We need someone to give the fan base something to get behind on the pitch. Whoever gets the job won’t have everyone behind them from day one, so prove the doubters wrong once the season starts say i.

Nuno is a good shout: he won the Championship at a canter and then got Wolves into Europe on a shoestring budget. His teams are good to watch, too. He’s the antithesis of Big Sam.

Andre Villas-Boas seems to have gone off the radar in recent years, but could make for an interesting look. Imagine most are familiar with his stint in the EPL, but he also won the league with Zenit and turned things around at Shanghai to make them title contenders. Brought Marseille back to the Champions League for the first time in several years. Though things did seem to implode on him at both Chelsea and Marseille.

As unrealistic a suggestion as this might be: it would be worth trying to lure Mauricio Pochettino from PSG. He worked wonders at Spurs. He had them challenging for the title and he led them to their first ever Champions League final. You don’t ask you don’t get.

He won the championship with a Europa League quality squad. It means little.
In fairness he got Wolves consecutive top 7 Premier League finishes on a relatively tiny budget. I would obviously prefer Poch to him but he wouldn’t be a bad appointment at all. What’s more, even after contending with a long injury list and a congested fixture list he still got them a mid-table finish this season.

And he can't do better. I really don't think he's capable of higher than maybe 6th. If his name was Nicklas Ethan Smith no one would want him because he's basically an Iberian Dyche.

Looking at who the bookies think might be in the running makes for grim reading. The likes of Chris Wilder, Scott Parker and Steve Bruce are all relatively short odds.
