To put Potter XP in to perspective they would of won 10 more games then they did to be 3rd 30 points
That’s not down to strikers missing chances

This is the manager I would be most happiest about maybe because he’s relatively unknown. It’s a risk but one I would take a punt on. Sick of these same names pop up everytime we’re looking for a manager. Do something different this time.
What we need is to shake things up with a new tactical approach. Everyone is either playing on the counter or possession football. What we need is to find the next Graeme Taylor, and become the aerial bombardment specialists that strike fear into the hearts of Premier League defenses everywhere!

Sean Dyche and Chris Wood it is then

Flavour of the week
His XP had them finishing 3 or 5 but they finished 16th surely it can’t be simply down to the strikers missing that many chances

What xP and xG fail to take into account is that no striker in world football scores every single one of their chances.

Thats just your opinion
We tried Pep-lite football, and it was largely a disaster. Is there some unique magic power that Pep has that makes him impossible to replicate?

You cannot play his style with non-elite players. You can argue you cannot play it to its full potential without Messi, Iniesta and Xavi, as he has failed in the Champions League ever since, despite having the best squads in Europe.

I think it just underlines that certain managers and jobs are better suited than others.

Just like Pep would flop at Burnley, or Dyche would be rubbish at City. We need a guy with the sort of qualities Moyes had in his day: hard work, dedication to fitness, an eye on long-term building, tireless scouting to get value for money.
Add instilling team spirit, determination and up-for the fight mentality

The only reason people want Potter is they look at his XG, and cream their pants. XG does not win you points! His win percentage is 25%, what has this lad done which is so exceptional that he warrants getting the Everton job? He certainly isnt out performing Chris Hughton his predecessor.......

Some need to give their head a wobble!

We need to go for the best out there, nothings guaranteed but the chances of success are alot higher than taking one of the leagues basement boys. Da`s on here saying Moyes has a glass ceiling yet want Potter who has never had even a mid table finish. Cant understand the thought process!

"Smoke me a kipper, we'll be home for breakfast." (With an FA Cup in tow!)

The people that want Potter are scared of us actually having any modicum of success.

They long for us to be crap and have crap middle of the road managers forever more because anything that resembles ambition scares them.

Lads it's ok to want better.... Its not a Tory shout.... Everton can and should expect better Greame "Town called malice" Potter.

To be fair.
He fits the type of manager we should be going for
Unless you want another one here for the money
Maybe he’s the guy we need.
Better than Nuno or Moyes IMO.

However, it’s a gamble.
Even though he’s done ok at Brighton.
Ancelotti was never sold on us.
Defo would be a step up for him.

For context, Graham Potter is Roberto Martinez without the fancy name. Would be an awful, awful appointment.

Also, I'm appalled he's being mentioned on this forum more than the likes of Conte, Mancini and Sarri who are of the level Everton should be looking at.
