Whoever we bring in needs to be able to solve a number of key issues.

We have a fitness problem. Not only do we always seem to have players on the treatment table but we just don't seem to be competitive in games.

We have an attitude problem. I don't know if its just me but it seems many of our players have a culture of "just enough". Players shouldn't be happy with just a top half finish and too many times it looks like they were content with their lot long before the season ended.

Squad depth. Apart from a few key players we are rubbish. Seriously, everyone likes to rag on Sigurdsson but when he is missing we are diabolical.

Philosophy. Any manager who comes in and utters the word Philosophy should be marched straight back out.

Anyway, with all that in mind it is abundantly clear who we should bring in.......

..... David Moyes!!!!!!
Brilliant; unfortunately we'll bring in some other joker and finish 15th next season.

Its a results business, and he is no better than Hughton so far.
It's a bit a results business it's an entertainment business and whilst Brighton fans have complete respect for Houghton you'll be hard pressed to find one who wants him back.

Lest we forget Brighton beat City the game before City beat Ancelottis blues 5:0.

Dunc may only have been in charge for a few games, but our play definitely improved, and made enjoyable 'fairy-tale' viewing
Then he's had over a year learning the ropes from Carlo (like Arteta did under Pep before getting the Arsenal job).
We could do worse - at least Dunc knows the British game and Premier League expectations, unlike a few on the short-list.

Not for me, 100% isn’t what we need right now.

.... a progressive young coach on the up, exactly what we should be looking for.

Haven't seen any recent updates *regarding a new manager. Most organizations I would deem that as a positive, assuming they're diligently taking the task seriously. Unfortunately the Everton hierarchy hasn't instilled that sense of confidence. I wonder what those cretins are up to? Securing a deal for the gobbling king himself, Neil Warnock?
