Understand this but would happy take a team now to finish 7th and get europe for the next couple of seasons and build on it
I would rather we built on a style of football more likely to bring success in the future.
His previous employers had already adjudged him unlikely to take them further so I’m not seeing why we would be reaching a different conclusion.
Let’s face it, he was sacked by Wolves and being courted by Palace, his star is in descendant.

Defensive football and counter attacking football aren’t the same thing. What we’ve been playing is defensive football, where we rarely commit more than 3 players to an attack from open play and pretty much rely on set pieces to score. An effective counter attacking side is one that’s quick in transition with players capable of playing box to box all over the pitch, meaning you’re able to commit more bodies to attack. Big Red are a counter attacking side, you’d never call them defensive.
I prefer to watch sides that battle for and seize the initiative to control games.
I would much rather watch football played on the front foot rather than watch a team constantly surrender ground.
I take your point about the Scum , and within any style of play there are large variations but Nuno’s style bears scant resemblance to Klopps.
Anyway he hasn’t been appointed yet and I hope we are receiving poor info or deliberate misdirection.
