The worry with Nuno is that he tries to go more attacking if he came here in which I don't think it would work.

He/Wolves looked best as a compact counter attacking side and when he tried changing it this season it went downhill.

You can counter attack when you have Jimenez, Traore, Jota, Neto, Podence etc.

Can't when you have a team of slugs

Ha ha ha ha.

Are people seriously entertaining the idea of that cone laying galloot who's been at the heart of multiple failed regimes becoming our permanent manager?

He had four games in charge and underlined why he's unfit for the role.

FFS. The Galloot.

Heard it all now.

We are only really one good summer window from changing that mate but I have my doubts with Brands doing the recruitment.

DCL and a on form Richarlison can effectively replicate Jimenez/Jota we certainly need pace at RW / RWB though.

People laugh but say if we brought in a Zaha/Bailey type at RW and Traore at RWB with another CM coming in with pace/mobility alongside Doucoure we would look massively better and more dangerous.

You were "uninspired" with duncs games in charge?

Serious question, why are you even interested in football if us being in the relegation zone, lost 9 out of 15 games, won 2 since September and destroyed in the Derby. Then dunc comes in and weve got 3 games against Chelsea, man u and Leicester in the cup in 10 days. We beat Chelsea soundly, get a deserved point against man u and then were 2-0 down at half time against Leicester in the cup the team looks dead on their feet, then we come out for the second half look the better team davies brings it back to 2-1, 91st minute looking like we're going to loose then baines scores a worldie, absolute limbs everywhere.

Fair enough we get knocked out on pens but the team worked harder and had more passion in them in those 3 games then I've seen in a everton team in probably the last decade.

If you're sat there feeling uninspired by that, seriously whats the point in following a team at all?

So I have to be inspired, because it was Ferguson?

The Chelsea game was amazing, the crowd was electric, but watch it back, we rode our luck, and everything worked out, fairy tale esque.

We lost to Leicester, literally went backs to the wall against United, did we have more than one attack?

Then the players reverted to sort.

I love Duncan, but it’s pie in the sky stuff to suggest it was enjoyable viewing, other than the fact we all love the bloke snd wanted him to succeed.

As in going from ZZ to Carlo to Duncan Ferguson, he run a mile
He has worked with DF for a season and already knows what he is like.

He will either leave or if impressed by Ferguson he will want to stay.

On a general point about JR , does he have lots of options open to him ?

Madrid have already left him leave for nothing, will they want him back and possibly pay money to do do?

How many other clubs will be in for him and pay the wages he would want and a transfer fee as well probably ?

I am not convinced he has lots of options with clubs that would be seen as better than us.

I think the worry on here is, given the seeming can't be arsed nature of the squad - Is the Dunc high emotion thing sustainable over a season...is there plan B...or C for days when the emotions are low - as happens.

It’s mad that when we don’t leak anything as a club people just leap to their own conclusions!
The thread is full of ‘it’s gonna be this guy’, ‘why aren’t we talking to this guy’, ‘why is the club so narrow minded’ etc. when the reality is we could have approached 50 people or 1 person so far, nobody knows!
?

Always thought this was a weird recent myth. The club might as well publish its strategies on here in a pdf
