Re Dunc..

I just think, at this point, we should be taking a bigger risk. I'm desperate for us to break this mid-table mediocrity stuff either way. If we need to make a step or two back before we can go forward again then so be it.

At this point, I'm just desperately bored of Everton.

The Chelsea win was purely based on passion and Frank Lampard didn’t have the experience to deal with it, had it been Tuchal or Carlo or one of the other big Chelsea managers, we mostly wouldn’t have won
This is all ifs and buts. Let’s look at the facts shall we? He led us to a 3-1 win.

If he were to be appointed then Moise Kean is unlikely to set foot in Liverpool again as an Everton player.
So what? If he doesn’t want to be here then sod him.

he seemed out his depth with lesser players

Did he? He was unbeaten in the league.

I don't want a manager who doesn't know the league, the country, the language or the challenge he faces.
Sounds perfect tbh, knowing the league is completely irrelevant and well over used. Pep/Tuchal/Jose didn’t know the league and all won.
I get the language might be a barrier but then The Leeds manager doesn’t speak good English and he does well.
As for challenge I’m sure he knows about the PL and the big teams.
then again not knowing how crap Everton are against the top teams might be of benefit

Why aren’t we talking to Valverde?

Impressive record at a number of clubs and for someone who’s most recent job included two title wins with Barcelona, he’s never talked about when big jobs come up.
Brought a lot of clubs forward, an impressive cv, good contacts in the game, available

And we have literally 2 players in our entire squad who can actually run and thus counter-attack, and one of them is a moody Brazilian who will probably want out now Ancelotti has gone.

Think we have the nucleus for him to do a good job tbh

Back 3:

Mina / Godfrey / ???

marauding fullbacks providing width

??? / Digne

CM's:

Doucoure / Allan / ???

If its 343 then Richarlison & DCL will do well we just need a top drawer RW with pace

I think if we invested in a CM, CB, RWB & RW his system would work here providing the likes of Gomes, Siggurdsson & Delph get nowhere near the team.

Funnily enough Iwobi actually looked half useful as a RWB he could very well end up as a back up in that position under Nuno.

He’s had success in the game without the ego and hype that others get.

The idea that we’d go for Nuno instead of managers like him blows my mind.

He even went to Olympiakos and had success there, so it’s not like he can only manage in Spain like some.

It would be nice to watch an Everton side who can play some passes around too. We literally can’t pass more than twice without losing possession usually.
