I've got to admit... I'm slooowly coming around to the idea of Dunc as an option.

There's been several name drops now from people in the game, most recently including DCL, pointing to how good he is around the place and how popular he is with the players in general.

Obviously the massive question mark is his managerial inexperience (his tactical nous, for instance) but I don't think there'd be any doubting his commitment and his willingness to punt the piss-takers at the bare minimum. I do wonder how prepared he'd feel now having worked under several different managers, including Ancelotti. He certainly has the inside track on how things have been for a while now and will no doubt have his own ideas.

I mean, we still got a result out of both of those..? certainly he got an immediate response out of the players post-Silva. That Chelsea game was one of the most enjoyable matches I've watched in the last few years.

I do agree that the high pressing, 4-4-2 he adopted in those games is unsustainable with this current lot, but hopefully lessons would've been learned/experience gained from that.

I'm not totally against Dunc but you can't play a full 38 game season plus cups off purely passion and emotion. There has to be an awful lot more than that and I'm not sure if he has all the tactical and strategic skills needed.

It'll soon clear out the rubbish though

Gallardo by a mile.
Even though he has never managed in Europe never mind the Premiership.
In all probability does not speak English and almost certainly will not have a great knowledge of our players.

He may get a job in Spain or Portugal but unlikely to get one anywhere else.
