A bigger name will be sought after and eventually be poached of us once a bigger job comes available like what's happened with Ancelotti.
The average PL manager last 69 games, need to get over Ancelotti leaving, it happens to almost every club, we just havnt had it before and that’s why it’s been painful and we are scared of getting burnt again

I'm not totally against Dunc but you can't play a full 38 game season plus cups off purely passion and emotion. There has to be an awful lot more than that and I'm not sure if he has all the tactical and strategic skills needed.
We hear that he is supposed to be a very good coach and unless he has impressed Brands as a coach he simply won't get the job.

People look at the commitment he shows during a game and that hasn't ever done Simeone, Conte or Alex Fergusson any harm in their careers.

I certainly think he is under consideration but the appointment will be at the end of a process where a number of managers are all spoken to and considered.

If he were to be appointed then Moise Kean is unlikely to set foot in Liverpool again as an Everton player. Maybe we need that kind of management where the players are expected to do the job asked of them.

It'll soon clear out the rubbish though
Everyone is saying this but we don’t know how close he is to the likes of Siggy, Davies ,Coleman etc and might feel he could get a tune out of them were 4 previous manager couldn’t.
Can his name alone or would we need to throw daft money/length of contract to get better player to come that we couldn’t off load if they don’t work out.

I've got to admit... I'm slooowly coming around to the idea of Dunc as an option.

There's been several name drops now from people in the game, most recently including DCL, pointing to how good he is around the place and how popular he is with the players in general.

Obviously the massive question mark is his managerial inexperience (his tactical nous, for instance) but I don't think there'd be any doubting his commitment and his willingness to punt the piss-takers at the bare minimum. I do wonder how prepared he'd feel now having worked under several different managers, including Ancelotti. He certainly has the inside track on how things have been for a while now and will no doubt have his own ideas.
What formation does he play? Is he big press, low block, front foot, counter att, possession based?
When he was manager he was 442 and RUN

I get he worked under managers but let’s be honest, they all sucked bar Ancelotti and he seemed out his depth with lesser players

I mean, we still got a result out of both of those..? certainly he got an immediate response out of the players post-Silva. That Chelsea game was one of the most enjoyable matches I've watched in the last few years.

I do agree that the high pressing, 4-4-2 he adopted in those games is unsustainable with this current lot, but hopefully lessons would've been learned/experience gained from that.
The Chelsea win was purely based on passion and Frank Lampard didn’t have the experience to deal with it, had it been Tuchal or Carlo or one of the other big Chelsea managers, we mostly wouldn’t have won

Even though he has never managed in Europe never mind the Premiership.
In all probability does not speak English and almost certainly will not have a great knowledge of our players.

He may get a job in Spain or Portugal but unlikely to get one anywhere else.
Good, he look at the team from a purely training bases and realise their crap reather then hearing how great Sigi is from pundits who dont watch Everton

The worry with Nuno is that he tries to go more attacking if he came here in which I don't think it would work.

He/Wolves looked best as a compact counter attacking side and when he tried changing it this season it went downhill.

James Managed by Carlo Ancelotti and ZZ and Duncan Ferguson

The more I think about it the more I’m on board Nuno. He done a great job at Wolves. European football has to be our first aim (top7). Once we can achieve this, we can then start pushing onwards. He’s got good English, he signed some good players at Wolves, and the Wolves fans are very fond of him.

I was over Ancelotti leaving 10 mins after it happened.
We will try and do and have done exactly what Real Madrid done to us.

I want our new manager to be relatively unknown and most of our new signings relatively unknown.
Be arsed with Howe/Moyes/Nuno/ etc.. and players like Zaha/Martial and the likes., bores the living daylights out of me just makes me less and less interested.

And we have literally 2 players in our entire squad who can actually run and thus counter-attack, and one of them is a moody Brazilian who will probably want out now Ancelotti has gone.
