They might well do but still the market changes. You can't legislate that Spurs, Wolves, Juventus, Madrid, Inter, Munich, Celtic, Roma and quite possibly PSG are all or have been looking for a new coach at roughly the same time .

I would rather they took their time and get the right one.
Oh yeah I don't want them rushing either but it strikes me they are scrambling when you should have always have a list. Yes it's a merry go round but there are more coaches in work we could get if we set our intentions to it.

And what’s to say they don’t?

It’s been 6 days

SIX DAYS
Yes and I would rather they took their time , I was stating a fact that football clubs shouldn't be "caught off guard" when a manager leaves they should have some ideas already. I mean maybe they have and they are just following due process but this is Everton.

Orrrr… they’re going about the work of discussions and interviews, and the MEDIA is scrambling because they’re doing a good job of keeping it quiet.

The list is probably the same names we have tbf, however if someone like Conte is holding out for PSG but has indicated if Poch stays he will come to Everton for 12 million p/a then that is going to throw a spanner in the works to just settling on a NES type.

Of course I don't think for a minute Conte will come to us, it's just an example but if you tone that down to a lesser name then it could be possible. Until the 'top' jobs go everyone is in a holding pattern.

plucky little Bournmouth!!!
perhaps he could do that for us.... oh no, wait...

More than plucky little Bournmouth mate, 91st in the English football league pyramid, faced administration, transfer embargo, 17 point deduction.

Eddie Howe, the guy you don't rate took the job coz they couldn't afford anyone else. Few years later they're playing Premier league football and finish 9th. Spent five seasons in the Premier League despite being favourites every year for the drop.

No, he couldn't possibly do anything with Everton because we're all snobs and we're all too good for him.

They will always have ideas and on the contrary the term 'off-guard' is a perfect for it. By all counts in the media nobody was expecting and it was very, very quick. Off-guard doesn't mean they haven't got ideas of how to progress already though.

All sorts to talk about to potential managers, players, transfers, transfer kitty, staff numbers, set up, philosphy/set up etc. I imagine they are taking their time while they have it and as you say, doing their due dilligence...

"but this is Everton" should our slogan though.

I would rather we got BFS back.
