So in the last two days we have been negotiating with;

Nunes
Galtier
Potter
The Fat Waiter
Howe
Moyes

Seems strange to be actually negotiating with so many managers. It’s akin to throwing as much crap at the wall in the hope something sticks.

I’d have thought we would interview candidates. Whittle them down to one and then commence negotiations with the chosen one!

It is throwing crap at the wall. However we are aiming the ire in the wrong place.

It's the press throwing crap against the wall not Everton!

I think that's what we've probably been doing. Interview them and then find out what their demands are, move forward from there. Martinez keeps popping up too - not sure what to make of that.
I’m going to go out there and suggest maybe Brands has identified him as someone he could work with. Leave Brands to buy the players and let Martinez coach them. There arent too many names being bandied about that wouldn’t be hugely divisive.

That's probably what we are doing. The fact there's a different name linked every day tells you we're speaking to a number of people.

I think he actually spouted 'FAHCHT' in broken English each time much to delight of every single football fan in the world bar big reds morose moonfaced morons, that nodded compliantly along to the fat Spanish waiters delusions of that particular day.
No wonder he was so loved in Newcastle, they're the North East version of Kopites, as are the cockney ones at Weeest spammmm... He'd be ideal there as well with the delusional f-wits
I was going to say it was definitely FACHT
It was almost as bad as the Keegan ‘I’d love it’ rant, absolute meltdown

Conte funnily enough is about the only name (although Howe does run him close) that I'm remotely concerned about. I think he would be great IF he stays, but like Carlo he would be off faster than a rat up a drainpipe if something better were to come along.
Well surely something could be put into the contract that would make it hugely expensive or prohibitive for him to quit. Obviously CA didnt have anything like that in his contract so the snake could leave literally whenever he wanted.Surely the club won't be so naive again.
I would take Conte all day, he falls out with boards because they dont give him what he wants. So give him what he wants, tie him down to a proper contract and lets see where he takes us

So was Kevin Sheedy, Peter Beardsley and Gary Ablett. For me it’s a completely pointless issue.

I really don't care what Benitez said ten years ago in the heat of battle.

The only debate for me is who is best placed to take on this squad and improve us.
totally agree but that wasnt what i was responding to.

*apart from the small club quote, would never tolerate him holding up an Everton Scarf or sitting in our Dug out or taking charge of a Derby match so its a defo "no" from me, FACT

I’m gonna go a bit left field here...

Dave Watson.
Had a good record as caretaker and could be another Joe Royle... a fans favourite returning to manage the club.
He could even have unsy as his assistant.
I think Walter Smith assisted by Mike Walker could do a good job together.
