The problem is you cant blame the players and not the manager which is what way too many have been doing this season.

If the players look like a team of strangers maybe just maybe the manager and coaches aint doing a very good job?

Carlo switching formation every other week didnt help either.
The fact that this nail on the head has been so ignored by many is in itself .. surprising.. showed the amount of rope Carlo had been given..

I dont think I even want to second guess our board/club/owner. What is obvious we wont get anyone while the Spurs or PSG jobs are going, everyone will be circling them and then us if they cant get them.

That probably suits Everton as we will wait weeks to appoint a new manager and then probably not have to spend any money as the new manager assesses the squad......

Fonseca, Nuno or Ten Hag... These kinds of managers fit the long term rebuild with an identity of style.
I don't know that Nuno does. I think he was kind of just the right guy for whatever weird nonsense Wolves have been doing. Ten Hag maybe, but Ajax isn't exactly challenging week to week so that worries me.

Poch would be absolutely amazing but it is never happening is it.

Just love the irony that Madrid went for Ancelotti because they didn’t think they’d get Pochettino only for him to make himself available 2 hours after we lose Ancelotti.

Make it happen Everton.... but no, stars align.

Poch to Spurs, Conte to PSG, Mark Hughes to Everton.

I'd be game for Favre but it mentioned attacking with pace being one of the central tenets of his strategy wouldn't jibe with our squad lol
We have DCL and Richy who have pace, Digne has some, Godfrey, what we need is to balance it out on the right hand side of the pitch (RB+RW) and we could play a more direct way imo.

Do we settle for someone with a ceiling for 3 or 4 years and hope they are a transitional appointment only or do we go for potential?

I don't think we'll be attracting the likes of Conte or Poch.

I find it genuinely to be a dilemma. I would always hope that a manager can really grow with us but at the same time if we get it wrong yet again, and with this bunch of players, the consequences could be catastrophic with the stadium on the horizon.

I think Sean Dyche would be worth a serious look this time. We would get honest, organized football from him and whilst it isn't what we would hope for in the best case scenario, I wouldn't mind some stability at least for a while and he doesn't get the credit he deserves.

We’ve always been a club of first’s 1st team with numbers on their shirts, 1st with under soil heating 1st to have nets I believe, well how about the 1st PL side to appoint a female manager. The Chelsea women’s team manager is very highly thought of, just a thought.
