It should be to our advantage the mistakes they've made at Roma. They appear to have conceded they will need to do some things differently and keeping Ranieri on to get his advice on the next managerial appointment seems a sensible move.
The danger is surrounding themselves with a coterie of advisers and consultants none of whom have an official role and we've seen what the likes of Kia Joorabchian can do in that regard.
It's naive to expect they won't handpick the next manager themselves but they should still heed the opinion of the DoF. If they are not happy there then get another.
There is no question that TFG will steer us well financially but they have to get recruitment right. It will be fascinating how they approach the current situation and how they assess Dyche. Perhaps real consequences for poor results will have a positive impact. Hopefully it will.

Yeah, the sentiment is stil dripping from the pores of the club. Is Thelwell really the best available director of football in world football? If not, sack him and appoint whoever is. We have too many prepared to make excuses for people like Marcel Brands and Kevin Thelwell, people who made a career out of having cheerleaders excusing their lack of impact by blaming other people. Fine, other people might well have been the problem, but it didn't stop these two taking the coin, so clearly they hadn't too much issue with other people's interference.
A full clear out is needed.
