Congratulations to our new owners on solving the manager issue so quickly and efficiently.

Not what they would have hoped to be doing a month into taking over.

I’m sure 99% of Evertonians would not have chosen Moyes, but due to the position we are in and the morale of the players after the Burnley Mike Bassett had cowardly admitted he wasn’t up to the job, I’m sure our options weren’t as plentiful as some may think.

onward and upwards for a better second half of the season and the end of amateur league football tactics.

i like it mate

Umm…we have seen that on numerous occasions…..? In my mind he was a little bit hit and miss, we had players who were never near the first team, the two from China, Rodrigo, Kouldrop etc. My problem was when he had money he couldn’t find a striker, he wasted money at us and especially at WH trying to find one.

Yakubu was very good for us

Have to they acted quickly. No taking weeks, like our previous owner.
Yes. Those trying to push a narrative that these guys are no different or better than the last lot obviously have very short memories. The last lot would have waited until 30th January to appoint someone and leave them in the lurch. Whether people agree with the decision or not, it has been made quickly and decisively and that is a good thing.

hmmm

None of the playing staff have thanked Dyche or said goodbye, and that includes some of his previous Burnley players.

Am I reading too much into that?
No- I think he burnt some bridges. When a manager keeps failing eventually the players give up on them. He was one of our better man managers until we started perpetually losing. He kind of lost the plot a little in the last season and a half.

Oh. I thought he bought all the bad ones and just got lucky with the good ones. 0% hit rate
That's just as absurd an argument, and you won't find me making it. He's signed some very good players, I would accept his record is probably more good than bad, but he's also signed some complete duffers. Anyone claiming otherwise is being disingenuous.

No words from Thelwell in the Moyes comms.

Maybe @Eggs will get his way..
He's only got 5 months left of a contract that was worth nowhere near what Dyche was earning. Easy to place him on gardening leave and bring somebody new in. Proven failure in his position - happy for Moyes to have a big say in who the next DoF will be.
