There big spend in their first year I think was 100m net - but it did win them the club's first ever European trophy, and they became the first Italian team to win a European trophy in 12 years mate, I'd not say that masked anything, it was a brilliant reward for the investment.
One European trophy, another European final, and a few semis. They've had a tremendous return. What we would give for that, even if we finished 6th three times in a row.

Thought this quite a good read from the Guardian, though epitomy of 'Everton that' I did like "weapon of mass distaction"

For everyone’s sake, let’s hope Everton takeover deal is more than a distraction

Needlessly gloomy, in my opinion. Understandable - to a point - but TFG are not 777 Partners and I think that should colour people's pessimism.

They haven't published any details of what exactly the deal is but I can guarantee you from experience that if Aramark is involved it will be overpriced rubbish quality food at daylight robbery prices because their business model is based on the fact that once you're in the sports facility they own the catering contract for then they have a monopoly.

I'm curious if anyone knows of any other facilities in the UK that are Aramark operated. The ones this side of the water are all the same.

That's a bit worrying. No way am I paying top dollar for garbage. I'll be turning to at five minutes before kick-off as per usual in that case.

The booze is definitely part of that contract with Aramark and probably the main value driver.

That Castore deal is madness to me. If they're paying us over 20 million year compared to the 8 or so we got off Hummel that's unreal to me. I can't see how it's making Castore money but that's their money.

I can't see us achieving similar replacing Stake as the shirt sponsor, at least not without considerable performance increases. We already went for the biggest return we could get here.

It will be interesting to see what is worked out regarding the stadium naming rights. I assume we had to return that 30 million to USM, although that was just for the right of first consideration I think so nobody really knows what could feasibly be achieved there.

It's because of the stadium. Id anticipate similar for shirt sponsorship as they tend to correlate.

They thing with TFG, was they left the people in charge to do it. And they did it quite badly, but they were still quite hands off.

So just out of interest how much do you think (on average) a fan going to an everton game spends on food and beverages inside the ground?
Well, what we spend now is somewhat immaterial. It's what we should be generating at Bramley Moore with an increased offer that we're talking about.

This deal was reported to be one of the biggest commercial deals we've ever done. £3m per season doesn't come close to being one of the biggest deals. Spurs apparently rake in around £1m per game from food and drink revenue alone. Whilst i appreciate they have a bigger stadium and London prices, do you really think we're going to generate such a paultry amount by comparison that we're only receiving £130,000 in catering revenue from Aramark per match.

100%. He's been operating in pretty tough circumstances so hard to imagine that he could really have done much better.

Some pretty good signings and not many duds, apart from Beto maybe.

Having said that, not bothered if he goes.
Not just that but he knows our situation.. academy etc.

Not too many changes at once. Is my view.
