Jose Mourinho is a “strong option” to take over from Sean Dyche at Everton once Dan Friedkin completes his takeover, sources have told Football Insider.

The 59-year-old American businessman reached an agreement with incumbent owner Farhad Moshiri to purchase his 94.1 per cent stake in the club.
I'd so like this to be true. He'd revel in the "us against the world" scenario that seems to be Everton down the years. He actually WINS TROPHIES.

Football insider is trash

But nevertheless

Bring me Jose!

He`s a more glamorous and wittier version of Benitez / Dyche / Allardyce, who eventually destroys clubs from within, just like Benitez.

He`s like a wrecking ball at every club he goes too.

I think that's a bit over the top. Any one of those guys would kill to have Mourinho's win %, even the past few years.

He's not as effective as he was 10 years ago, but he's still a good manager.

Having said that, no thanks. His next stop is probably international football.

@Damo_1878 You ok mate.

It's half 12 and you've not posted.

Considering a welfare check.

Currently mid air on his Lear Jet at the mo, on his way back from a business meeting in Shanghai.

It won’t be long before he’s touching down at his own private airfield in his back garden and enlightening us all with his encyclopaedic knowledge of the sale of Everton FC.

He "won" trophies, his recent appointments have been car wrecks, not sure he's the right fit for us as his tactics no longer seem to work and players are far too fragile for his management style and will quicker down tools than actually put in some effort to better themselves
He won his last trophy 2 years ago and lost in a final last year didn’t he ? It’s hardly decades ago .

Like I say I think to an extent the Game is evolving and his football seems old school but we’re currently managed by Sean dyche so I think anyone turning their nose up at one of its most successful managers is failing to see where we are .

IMHO I'd sooner have him than the last ooooh let's see... 4 managers we've had. He still won trophies with Man united and Roma. As opposed to eff all for us over the last 30 years.

Doesn't Mourinho dislike DF? Seems like lazy journalism to me designed to get clicks
