Maybe the Friedkins have clauses inserted into the deal whereby the value of their takeover is determined by the league position when they take control.

They must feel confident that they can get us out of this mess immediately after they become owners and are willing to take the risk and save potentially a lot of money watching us tumble down the table in the meantime.

They have made a bit of a mess at Roma now. I think Juric is actually a decent coach. It seems the immediate crisis he inherited and possibly a degree of misplaced bitterness from some of the players towards him following De Rossis sacking, has been too much.

I imagine he will be sacked in the coming days. I thought De Rossis sacking was harsh and this would be equally harsh. It's not like the situation we have. They won't be fighting relegation. For me, I'd still opt to retain Juric for another couple of games.

The Friedkins have placed themselves in a very bad situation now though. Their choice is like compounding an error by sticking with Juric or admitting their error by sacking him.

If they get the next appointment wrong it's hard to see them not losing all credibility.

I'm sure they'd take over right now if they could.

I blame the fans.

Not really made a 'mess' at Roma, they've had a difficult season and are replacing people who aren't performing, the average tenure of a football manager is 3 reasons.

Theyve made roma better, reduced their debt massively, increased their profit margins massively, and are having a rough season, guess what that happens, they're still on the right path, and the Roma fans are actual lunatics.

They will be miles, and miles better than what we have.

We have our share of those too....

I don’t think they have performed particularly well at Roma . After a promising start under Mourinho they have seem to have changed strategy which is indicative of learning on the job.
They (or their CEO) appear to have mishandled the De Rossi dismissal poorly and have needlessly increased doubts about their ability to run a football club.
They need to raise their game and perhaps deepen their understanding of the game generally, I think .

Everywhere Mourinho goes gets an initial lift before he makes waves and leaves with a nice payoff and a big mess left behind him. Not sure if these guys had some experience running a club before taking over Roma, but if they are learning from their mistake they make there it must follow that they`ll be coming to us a lot better prepared to run a high level club.
The big difference with US guys coming in to take over, having owned sports teams in the US, is that there is a chance if you don`t get things right you can fall, not only away from the top of the league, but fall out of that league to a lower division. Its something they don`t have even in US soccer where there is no relegation.
