True.
Its some of the appointments to begin with that should never have happened, Lampard and FSW for starters.
For years to come Lampard will be on the box saying one of his greatest managerial achievements was saving us from relegation - ignoring that it was largely down to his ineptitude to begin with.
The season he saved us was largely down to the ineptitude of Benitez. Lampard deserves credit for turning round a totally demoralised side even if his coaching couldn't sustain things the following season.

They'll be on a hiding to nothing choosing the next manager here.
I hope they approach it with an open mindset, not be blinded by age, PL experience, or anything else.
Trying to get someone that "fits" can just very often be a recipe for more of the same.

We’ve not exactly been shy of sacking people to be fair. There are plenty of things the board have made a mess of but one criticism I’m not sure you could level at them is being overly patient with managers.
It is good to see you on here mate if I may take the liberty of saying so.

I always found your contributions to be well-made and insightful.

If anything I think we will benefit from the managerial merry go round at Roma.

TFG have made mistakes and with luck will have learned from those. They will have learned of the importance of the right appointment and how much thought and research needs to go into an appointment.
Also, an appointment can't be based on a previous history with the club.

Yep, they nailed the Mourinho one which got them up and running. They then let their heart rule their head with an appointment that would make the fanbase happy. They probably sacked him too early into the season which is why they got such a backlash. They've realised they've made a mistake with his replacement and got rid of him in 12 games.

It's a strange set of circumstances and events which has transpired to go through a couple of managers so quickly.

It'll be interesting to see who they get next.
@AS Roma_fan would Mancini be a good managerial appointment or not liked due to his Lazio ties?

If Villa and Newcastle can compete inthe champions league, then so will we. Welcome back to the big time folks.
The manager situation will tell us everything we need to know about TFG, why are they not advising that Dyche is sacked?

If they come in and leave Dyche in place will tell us they are no better than Moshiri and staying in the PL is the height of their ambition, probably because Roma is their main focus and priority.

If i was to get a high paid high profile job, i am 100% certain that if i was crap for 2 months nobody would say ahh give him more time, I would be sacked and would expect to be. Why should these over paid managers be any different. You are being paid to hit the ground running, not serve an apprenticeship and get better over time.

No pity for them whatsoever and will be celebrating when they sack Dyche who is another complete and utter waster that is robbing the club blind.

He’s not going to be here next season. Most mangers charge in the summer. Best time, plan carefully and get everything sorted
