well they’ve probably spoken to who they want

the only words they will speak to dyche will be see ya

Jep, that's hopefully the way it ends. We are losing one year of development, because as dire as our team is, teams like Fulham, Forest, Bournemouth or Brentford have made a step forward with an improved individual squad.

The only manager I wouldn't want instead of him in the entire league is probably the Southampton one.

I fully expect the decision has been made ages ago.
If they have any ambition, which they clearly have, then Dyche will 100% be getting booted. Whether that is before his contract expires in the summer or not will ultimately depend on results over the coming months and our league position come Christmas

Appointing a manager mid-way through the season is far from ideal and i'm quite sure they will want to avoid it, however they're not hesitant in firing under-performing managers and I'm quite sure they will be aware of current fan sentiment towards Dyche. That, and we absolutely cannot be starting next season outside of the Premier League so if there is even the slightest risk we might, Dyche will be getting booted before the year is out IMO.

I guess the advantage of the Roma situation is that they will be gaining a close knowledge of the options available on the managerial market, not all will be suitable for Roma, not all would be suitable for Everton but they can have a good look at options that might be. If there are names available who are obviously better than what we have now that could make a decision easier.

If it's unacceptable at Roma then I can't see how they won't reach the same conclusion about Everton in short order. And the stakes are much bigger here.

They have recruited very poorly at Roma and it's a black mark on them without question. They need to look at who is advising them and get new advice. No need for an Everton style strategic review, the problem seems to be right under their noses.
