New Everton Stadium

Meis has said all along guaranteed full house v larger, more ££ and likely not always full is better for atmosphere.

If city struggle to fill 53k what makes us think we wouldn’t struggle to fill 60k?

The biggest issue with Citys ground is that LOADS of seats were bought in blocks by companies. Those seats aren't always full. However, its still a paying ticket so City wont do anything about it.

Maybe so (I wasn’t aware of that) but I’d still question what creates a better atmosphere. Would hope we wouldn’t block sell tickets like that. I see they’re planning to expand too ?

I'll be very, very surprised if there aren't more delays when we get to the internal fit-out. I don't think we'll hit any significant issues as such but a lot of relatively small issues soon add up. Completion 4-6 months after the start of the 24-25 season isn't unrealistic in my opinion.

Worth noting that in LoR's press release last month they said the following:

Note they are saying 'IN' the 24/25 season and not 'FOR'.

Good spot. That makes a difference, to be fair.

…..this is further along the Dock Rd before the 3 Graces and Overhead Railway, but these stunning old pictures paint a picture of what things were like at BMD back in the day.

i think it’s important that the architects are preserving a number of links to the City’s past.
Terry's Timbers would have made an absolute killing fitting out those ships.

Talking of TT was told the other week he was offered 5m to relocate, true or not I don’t know, or if he’s excepted it or not.
I would expect any uplift for the area to start next spring. If anybody is thinking of building hotels or converting old warehouses into bars and restaurants etc, I think they should be thinking of starting next year if they want things to be finished by the time the stadium opens, certainly big jobs like a hotel.
