It's a nice comment but it's not really backed up by fact. A YouGov poll recently showed over 50 percent of our supporters weren't local and that there were 13 prem clubs with more concentrated local fan bases.
Clarence docks isn't, no way. BMD is
As an out of towner myself, I think it's great that the club has such a connect and affinity with the local community. But the fact we have fans throughout the UK and indeed across the globe is a sign that we are a big club. It's certainly a good thing.
Hope to god this new stadium isn't a bowl. Rather have a Westfalenstadion-type over a soulless bowl.
Let's have a stonking giant recreation of Prince Rupert's Tower in one corner, the curve of the roof being in the shape of wreaths extending out from the tower. Sorry, think I've gone a bit daft.
20Clarence Dock is 30 minutes walk from the centre of town.
bored of this one now. whens the transfer thread fire up again?
Liverpool one is about 10-15 minute walk from Clarence, bout 35 from BMD. But it doesn't really matter anyway, cause we wont be at Clarence. What do you class the centre of Liverpool as ?
Google Maps says 30 minutes walk from the HSBC on Lord Street, and 30 minutes walk from Lime St station. I'd argue HSBC is very central.
Still find it weird that we don't make any announcement on the location if it's so far along that we have a bloke drawing up the design.
