We are going to sell out 38500 home tickets for palace as they've sent the top tier back. Add to that 3k of away fans and 2/3k of hospitality and 50k is suddenly only around 5/6k more general admission seats.

Exactly.

Currently our corporate hospitality is sold out for the season. We have to bus people in from the Hilton in town and also walk people across from the Isla Gladstone in Stanley Park.

There is huge demand for seating at Goodison, it's not even funny.

We'd fill 50,000. So we need room to grow beyond that.

I love the old girl, but there are so many terrible views at Goodison that it's no wonder many fans won't pay for such a limited experience. That's especially true this season, where there are only 12 unobstructed seats not sold to season ticket holders in the whole ground.

The ironic thing is, the same people saying we'd never fill 50k are the same people who probably thought a single tier Park End was a good idea in 1994. And 22 years on, that's still widely talked about as such a massive mistake and missed opportunity.

Anyone who thinks we can't fill 50000 hs some kind of an agenda, on the scale of things it really isnt that much more then we are getting now to watch not only what has been a average side over recent years but in a ground with shocking views. Going down to the docks the matchday will be more then just the 90 minutes on the pitch, it will be an experience.
Also with that capacity we will have a better chance of selling cheaper tickets to help fill it, something we dont really have to do now.

I want the grass in the goals to slope down into a hole that's linked up to a big tube like a pool table. And then the ball goes around the stadium and drops at random out of the roof of one of the stands to smash someone in the face.

With the possibility of numerous match day revenue streams surrounding the ground, would it not be a good move to build this larger stadium and keep ticket prices lower to get people to come for the whole match day experience?
