New Everton Stadium

As opposed to the majority shareholder ignoring the club's media channels and going direct to a Sky Sports presenter??
Slightly crass I agree, yet as mentioned in another thread I think there's specific reasons why he has chose to do this - and not acting on a whim.

But that's another matter entirely. And yes there'll always be information that is accessible through to the public through legitimate channels.

My point is that, as also shown with transfer dealings, we are more than able to keep sensitive information in-house and not privy to the media.

The location still hasn't been official confirmed, we've seen no designs, talks of size or even a timescale yet I suspect that many have been agreed.

Or at least I believe they've been agreed in principle - we'll only find out when the time is actually right.

Rome wasn't built in a day, feasibility for projects of this size can take years alone, Moshiri has been here 7 months and there is enough evidence to suggest it's progressing, relax and enjoy Goodison

Would be nice to here something official.
But this is the new Everton cards close to chest etc.
That could be code for nothing much happening.
It's a pretty confusing time some days things leak and look positive then you wait for official news and silence.

There were a lot of Spurs fans who were saying similar things. I think something as massive as a stadium is just something that seems unlikely until it actually starts happening.

It was really surprising when we started getting images of people digging out the site, there was no big announcement that work had begun at the beginning and it had been pretty much a 15 year journey of the club seeking a new stadium.

A year later it looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/ZQf0NDA.jpg
It's a bit nerdy but a busy building site with cranes, plant and loads of people moving around has a real buzz about it.

Eh?

Williams transfer was in the South Wales papers long before it was concluded.

Yannick Bolasie transfer leaked by a south west London journalist, then ended up in the Guardian.

Sissoko transfer attempt played out for the whole world to see... same as Witsel. Perez to Arsenal only happened because they heard through media and agents that we were close to finalising a deal.

I'm not saying you in particular, but why are people just flat ignoring this stuff? See what is in front of you.

Everton weren't responsible for any of those leaks.

I'm perfectly happy to wait until the end of October, to coincide with this stadium conference, that's fine by me.

If there is no announcement by then, then I guess nobody knows if and when it might be.

To quote a line I once heard, then "That's when the devil gets in"

I'd like to hear a definitive announcement, so the club are right to hold off until they are in a position to make one - and/or to do so at what they consider the optimal time to do it (within reason). So this stadium junket (in Manchester is it?) would appear to make sense. I don't want to hear any announcement about an announcement, or any variation on that theme.

Apart from the obvious that it would be (well, hopefully) tremendous news, it would be great if it was confirmed by October. I am not critical of the Moshiri regime but there has been a noticeable sense of drift since the underwhelming end to the transfer window. Momentum is everything and the general feel-good factor surrounding Moshiri has dissipated to a large extent, to be replaced by doubt and uncertainty, or more outright mistrust. A high degree of scepticism is par for the course for Evertonians.

An announcement with all of the bells and whistles attached would be great for the club, on every conceivable level. Fingers crossed it's just weeks away.
