It was all agreed a while back.
Everton's proposal was to revive the idea of a "football quarter" which was originally proposed for Stanley Park.
The plan includes a stadium, museum, shops, bars and restaurants as well as a hotel.
Peel have to re-jig their original plans which is causing the delay.
The reason for this is that Moshiri has "partners" that are willing to fund the whole lot. Not just Everton's part but Peel's too.
Peel are having to re-cost their side of the project and when they know how much it will take and the figures are agreed with the funding partners then an announcement will be made.
As far as the stadium is concerned, in the words of someone very close to it all: "F---ing awesome!"
Not just the best stadium in the country but an iconic building. Think Sydney Opera House, Guggenheim Museum, etc.
People will come just to visit the stadium even when there isn't a game. Hence the village theme to keep them there and spending money.
Source: Can't tell. Won't tell.
From another source (not too sure about this one): the stadium will be like Lucas Oil stadium but in a way that is sympathetic to the Liverpool skyline.
Make of it what you will people. I'm not going to justify my comments nor am I going to answer questions. Too much at stake.
Imagine the ITKBOMB when someone announces its going to happen the week before its announced....
i thought that had changed and we were just gonna get the bare minimum at finch farm to meet premier league regulations so u23 games can be played there. could be wrong though

Can we bring the Winslow with us
I have great memories over 35 years of that place and remember all the great players including Dixie who drank there over the decades.
Some of the warmest beer I've ever tasted has been in the Winslow over the years. Can we bring the Winslow with us

Football culture in the UK will always be in and out, no way will football fans turn up a few hours before and stay a few hours after - this only happen at finals and fans will normally disperse straight after.
Fans will only stay in the near vicinity if there's plenty of pubs with low prices.
It would be great if some of the businesses around Goodison, that would probably go bust without match days, could be helped with new sites near a new ground. The Winslow being one that is inextricably linked to the club.
With honourable nods to several others.
Tom Mouse told me that the club owns The Winslow currently.
The other businesses will be sound, theres plenty of housing around the area to support them, cos unlike the vermin over the park, we havent destroyed whole communities for the pursuit of the filthy dollar.

Wont expect you tell me who Mr Mouse is if its code, but that true? I know it went bust a few years back mind.
