New Everton Stadium

I've stood in the past, home and away, had some great experiences, and some not so great(getting led onto the pitchside out of the Kop at the Ratters Derby 1986,after bad overcrowding on the terraces)I just think it's in the past now, if "safe standing"happens it's one small step back to those days, let's remember since the inception of all seater stadia, how many people haveose days would lost their lives?also I think it's disrespecting those souls who did die at football in standing terraces if this was to happen, just my opinion.
Was there for that derby too - it was mental, remember being severely squashed in the Everton part of the Kop, so much so they had to take blues out and move them over to the other side, however pesonally I am all in favour of safe standing, that is exactly what it is. In my mid a whole lot safer than the linbs everywhere when we score an important goal especially away from home when everyone is falling over seats. Thats way more dangerous. I don't think it would be disrespecting them I really don't, the fact that the effort, design and expense going into safe standing means those days would never be repeated. The atmosphere would be so much better too for the young lads. Personally an old git now so happy to sit!

I don't mind you taking the rise.. I only told you what I know, the fact that some nameless Fat Jo wants £500K to smooth the way is obviously the problem.

And I am sorry that it isn't today..
You stuck your neck out and passed on what you were told. Fair play, the worlds of football and business rarely run smoothly.

I sincerely hope you are right re Mata, exactly what we need.

Happy days, but tbh, you could miss half the match or even a goal with the surges and movement. It was atmospheric though, if only because of the size of the crowd, but all seaters are much better.......
The surges were absolutely few and far between at goodison. Me and me mates used to have a picnic on the street end every other week in the late seventies/early eighties

Agents certainly caused us a lot of problems over the summer and stood in the way of two deals at least.

Thanks for sharing

Better to have some ITK credentials to lose than never to have had credentials at all.

This probably sounded really clever in your head Doug but really, it doesn't make any sense.

Hey everyone, make up some rot, there's always a fool out there who'll buy it

You're the Tory / Brexit / Trump dream hattrick
