New Everton Stadium

Re: On or Off, good info or bad info?

It comes down to two key aspects 1) Trust and 2) Prior New Ground project successes - the club score a perfect zero on both counts.

It really doesn't matter who is the info messenger for or on-behalf of the club except caution is the word I would use with anything shared from the club. Personally, I simply won,t believe anything from the club on this project unless it has been shared as a public document and can be validated by independent legal council.

It should,nt be this way but the trust issues start and end with the club.

I hear what ye saying mate, but until every document has been signed and rubber stamped it would be foolish of the club to actually say anything in public.
I'm sure there is a lot of work to be done (paperwork wise) before it becomes official. Its not in anyone's interest to announce something that hasn't been officially finalized.

This is my 3rd go around on the new ground lark..everyone one of them and I mean everyone of them has cost us a fortune to prepare with NDA,s all over the shop, only for each and every one to go down in flames.

Everton haven't done transparency for 21 years but they have been exceedingly good at failure for two decades.

Its crap I know, after decades of let downs no wonder we are so negative.
I believe in Moshiri, some don't because they expected our billionaire owner to spend 100m+ in the summer and have a ground announcement already, which is not realistic.. If he can announce a new ground before the end of the season I will be buzzing..

"There's sensational breaking news here at Goodison Park. My sources here are indicating that we won't find out what's going to be announced about the ground move until it's announced. With that I'll hand you back to the studio. Angela Thacklethwicke for News Vacuum 24"

Don't you think it will be announced at 2016 Shareholders Meeting/AGM?

No mate, more than happy to be proved wrong of course, but unless Everton, Peel and LCC run the tightest ships in history then I feel fairly certain we'd have had more info. For the time being all we have is a picture. And being Evertonians we have lapped it up like we have for the past 20 years.
