New Everton Stadium

As with the majority of Evertonians, I am anxiously excited about the prospect of the BMD move. However, those emboldened by Joe Anderson's words tonight might wish to consider that he made statements last summer about a new station in the Paddington area which is still shrouded in mystery. Also, the road scheme that was announced last week and which we referred to is no nearer BMD than Leeds Street, it is a scheme largely peripheral to BMD.
If Joe had transport powers like a London mayor, we would be right to be encouraged. However, his political future is also in some limbo. There is so much infrastructure that's needed for bmd and the wider Liverpool Waters scheme that if it's to be successful it would require levels of public and private investment not often seen in the UK outside of London.
I am a believer but doubts are always there to test one's faith.

At first I thought these were separate deals, and was excited. Now I see much information suggesting that they are the same deal...making it less than stellar (how much improvement on the Chang deal did we really get vs how much did we just sell naming rights to FF?)

Is there something that clarifies if both of these deals are what have contributed to the 75m figure? I've seen a few quotes...perhaps this will become clearer in time.

But make no mistake, if it really is 15m a season for 5 seasons for both primary shirt sponsor AND training ground naming rights...that's not brilliant.

ive just seen something on sky sports news saying its a 300% increase on shirt revenue AND a £75m commercial deal

i'll hold my hands up if i have initially got the figures wrong.

In simpler terms, the majority who are easily pleased have done so without any concrete facts/information.

Everton fans have the right to be scepticle when Kenwright and Elstone are on centre stage.

I personally believe we will go through serious improvement thanks to Moshiri, but not to the level that will have us challenging for the top.

Also, despite income from sponsorship being increased by the "300%" figure, wouldn't every other top 10-15 team in the premier league receive the same increase due to television increases in USA and Middle East? It wouldn't suprise me if our sponsorships still aren't in the top 10 in the league next season.
So we do nothing then hey....great strategy.

Or lets go back to the old Earl , Green regime ....that'll sort it.

Merseyrail is the only self contained network outside of London and its funded by the local authority - Merseytravel (Who are pumping £400+ million into providing major infrastructure updates and new trains). Maghull is in line for a new station within the next few years, I see no issue with BM also getting one given the scale of investment in the area. Peel may well have already insisted on ohe.

It can hardly be just a 5 year 15 million per deal, if revenues are expected to be 50 million higher next season. Im aware that 15 x 5 = 75, but you are forgetting their projected revenue increase despite ticket prices remaining the same or lower.

Wow, seems like some fans expected us to actually unveil a New free 100k seater stadium with a £1 billion shirt deal!!!

Some people are are never happy.

Not even in Europe and have increased sponsorship by 300% before new sleeve deals....how is this in any way a bad deal???

beacuase our current deal is sooo bad even 300% more wont cut it.

Nope, only the most miserable of fans will look at this negatively.

This puts us aroubd the top 6 or 7, with more sponsorship deals to come..... we finished 12th last season and currently sit 7th.

We are not a big global brand, we are not even big euro club!!!!
