Peel get £400M rent from the BBC for Salford Keys alone mate. What would a stadium build on the docks present them with?

What evidence do you have that a stadium would increase the value of land around it? Do businesses or individuals looking for a home particularly feel attracted to those environs?

The £400M s over 20 years and covers Peels construction and infrastructure costs for the project , not like they've got £400M cash upfront.

Whether it's the stadium itself doing this, or whether it's it's the prospect of other developments around the stadium creating speculation I'm not really sure. And of course London property is in a bubble all of its own anyway. But a stadium can be the trigger, especially if it's part of a bigger scheme to begin with.

That would be true of almost any prospective development, thats what makes large scale development so difficult & time consuming. Similar to this thread really.

No David. We ask if they want to sell us the land so we can build a stadium there. They say yes or no. If they had said no we would not still be having this discussion. Even a miserable old fart like you can see that. I feel like I'm trying to explain the obvious to my 4 year old, only I know she would grasp the idea quicker.
