Haven't Liverpool just paid £120million for one stand?
Actually, if you cost it per seat and consider only the increase. They paid about £120m for 15k seats.

Yes , but what about the Chelsea fans, they have a track record of doing things like that!In fact I'd like to go record now, for any Liverpool fans reading, that that wall is very dear to the hearts of all Everton fans, and we'd be utterly devastated if it were to somehow be flattened in a freak explosion of some sort.
But I'm certain that'll never happen, Liverpool fans wouldn't do something that nasty, would they?!
I don't want to get into a big argument, but for the sake of clarity I do think the local authority can still get rid of listed structures if they really want to? If that's not the case, then fine, but it's going to be difficult to have access for 60,000 fans and maintain the wall structure. Personally, I don't find dilapidated buildings that attractive, and that hydraulic tower would have to have a massive upgrade for it to be utilised in any way, as it's been totally neglected for about 350 years.
i think it is possible to modify it, say with the wall to build in more entries that match the original one. If i remember correctly part of the planning application for Liverpool Waters at Princes Dock was for extra entrances to be built into the historic dock wall .i think it is possible to modify it, say with the wall to build in more entries that match the original one. The heritage lobby kicked up a fuss but it was still agreed that it would be incorporated into the scheme.
Personally i think the majority of the wall should be pulled down in the name of progress , it was built by prisoners of war (or slaves) and it was intended to keep the general public away from the waterfront.
Certainly could have bridges over it? Bridges in different styles from different era's of Evertons existence. If i remember correctly part of the planning application for Liverpool Waters at Princes Dock was for extra entrances to be built into the historic dock wall .

The wall will (quite rightly) remain and will be a feature of the stadium area. Underpasses and/or bridges will be built. I love the idea of the tower retaining the bell, to be rung after every Everton goal.

@Jacko93 All the talk of BMD, is Nelson included as far as you know? It's been mentioned several times here and would make sense with the tightness of just the BMD area.
Guess just have to wait for official word....looks tight!apparently not at this moment.
