New Everton Stadium

Boundary St, interesting these is a large section of waste land right next to the track on western side of the tracks, runs along Walmsley Street on the map, but as other have said so close to Sandhills not worth it. If anywhere I would say it would be closer to town.

Thats the nearest main road. Any further into town and your looking at narrow streets with units/houses on them. I suppose they could have a purpose built road but that wouldnt make sense.

Then again another station between moorfields and Sandhills will probably be needed for the hundreds of flats/offices that will supposedly be built in the regeneration.

anyone know when the next big announcement is likely to be? end of season?
Wodja mean next? There hasn't been any big announcement yet, has there? Unless I've missed something.

The only real indication that this might happen is when Moshiri, Kenwright and co actually went to BMD a few
months ago.

I don't mean to be cynical - I'm confident that it's being worked on - but the silence is very frustrating.

I want to see a spade in the ground.

I guess you haven't read about the AGM?

Spades in the ground are hard, when the land isn't your yet. Things like this don't happen overnight, billionaire or no billionaire. Purchase of land, architect plans, contractor quotes all takes time.

Presume the planning application going in will be the next big thing. It will be a highly detailed and complex application probably taking a year or more to produce. After that I reckon we are about 1-2 years away from permission at the earliest. Only then will we buy the site, and the council will start transport works. It will be late 2019 or 2020 before the diggers move in I'd say.

What do folk think of the Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf? Great interior, not so hot exterior:

As already mentioned, the interior looks smart enough. Not fussed on the gap between the pitch and the stands mind (although not as horrific as West Ham!). It appears to have a sliding roof as well - something I'm hoping the EFC stadium will incorporate.

That exterior though....dull as dishwater that. Looks like a warehouse rather than a football stadium. That's seriously the most exciting design they could muster?

Didn't there used to be an "Esprit" store in Liverpool one?
