New Everton Stadium

Dan Meis, the architect behind Everton’s new stadium plans, has seen another of his European projects rejected.

The new Stadio della Roma, Roma’s new stadium, will be rejected by the new Mayor of Rome this week, according to reports in Italy.

Wow, that would be a major shock, this project has been in the works for ages. That said, Rome's 'anti-establishment' mayor isn't afraid of torpedoing projects even if they have decent popular support. She did the same to their 2024 Olympic bid. So I wouldn't be surprised if it's true.

It'd be a shame though. Watching this go up would've been fun, and with it being a few years ahead of your own project, might've given some pointers about Meis' ideas when it comes to football stadiums.

The "Invisible Wind Factory" got planning permission today on the Northern Docks .
Basically a big indoor open space for hosting music gigs and club nights next to Stanley Dock Warehouse and about 5 minute walk to Bramley Moore.
The first of many new watering holes to be opened in the area , capacity 1200 , pre match bevy and food (hopefully)
A similar set up to the Camp and Furnace and the Baltic Triangle , another small cog in the big machine.

That would be a welcome addition to the pre match routine.

If true...thats awesome, because this lucas oil stadium is probably the greatest looking stadium out there. Imagine something like that at the BMD.

A few alternate images of the LO stadium. Have to admit with a few footy tweaks I reckon it would look amazing.

I think that window makes the place feel too 'nice', and not intimidating at all.

Instead of a single tier behind the goal, I wonder whether a wall of short tiers (not dissimilar to those in the pic), overhanging the one below might create a unique atmosphere?
