New Everton Stadium

We look like getting a brand new stadium, in a cracking location. The team is going in the right direction, and if tickets are reasonably priced, we'll also attract new match goers and fans who've not been for a while.
60+k is a statement we mean business as well.

Am I daft for thinking we'd have absolutely no problem filling a 60,000 seater?

We've sold out 40,000 with ease for every single home game this season. In good form, or bad form. Against top teams, and against awful teams. Fans snapping up thousands of obstructed, and severely obstructed, seats.

Moving to a new stadium on the Liverpool Waterfront will be the biggest thing the club has done in generations and generations. Demand for tickets will sky rocket. Locally and further afield.

Sittin' in the mornin' sun
I'll be sittin' when the everton' come
Watching the goals fly in
And then I watch us kicking off again

I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay
Where most teams will win away
Ooo, I'm just sittin' on the dock of the bay
Watching shiiiiiite

I left my home in Walton
Headed for the Mersey bay
Cause I've had nothing to live for
And look like nothin's gonna come our way

So I'm just gonna sit on the dock of the bay
Watching most teams win away
Ooo, I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay

Yes, people shouldn't underestimate the impact obscured viewing has on our demand for tickets. I often don't bother because only obstructed view seats are left available, and I won't be the only one. I think a bigger Goodison with no obstructed views would easily fill 50k regularly, if not every week, regardless of form. With a more centrally-located stadium and better transport links than now, I'd imagine 60k is perfectly reasonable.

Having said that, as long as the stadium is on BM dock, is a boss design that generates great atmosphere, I'd be perfectly happy with 55k as a first phase, with the ability to add to it in the future.

All that effort riddled with such negativity ??

Absolutely. I know loads of people who are big fans and would love to go more often but can't justify £40 to look at a pole for 90 minutes.

I also think it provides a huge opportunity to embrace the touristy side of the City. I've just visited Rome, and managed to catch the Roma-Lyon game on Thursday. Obviously, if there were no tickets available, I would'nt have been able to go, but I did, spent a bit of merch too, so if we could get 300-400 extra in per game, it's a big boost to revenue.

As long as we have a "Pit", like Dortmund, we'll be absolutely sound.

We do barney - its called the Park End!!!!!!

I think 20,000 more people will go just to have a ride on the monorail. ;)

I currently do not have a season ticket but if we move there i will be putting my order in for 2. I can't imagine i'm the only one thinking this.
