Oh yeah. I'm talking from the perspective of this stadium in Liverpool being part of a tilt for a Commonwealth bid in 2026. If there is any LCC involvement in this project - and there must be even in terms of cash for infrastructure improvements - than Anderson will have a job selling this to locals of all stripes if there isn't a big pay off like that in mind...and that has to influence design.

We must build a standalone football stadium. A stadium built for the Commonwealth games then reconfigured would be a disaster. The West Ham stadium looks awful from a football perspective. Here in Sydney we recofigured the Olympic stadium in 2001 to suit rectangular sport, however that also turned at awful and the atmosphere is dull with the seats far from the pitch. Luckily the NSW government is spending 200m to renovate it.
