In all honesty, inviting them over will have the following positives
-it'll make the kopites seethe that they've been excluded from a big local event
-will give us a chance to show impressionable Rovers fans our boss new stadium and maybe get a few of them to adopt us as their second team, thus causing more fume and strengthening the local support base

This was my thinking, but the Echo are reporting as fact that we're announcing the stadium today. I know they're not the last bastion of outstanding journalism, but they won't be making such statements based on rumour - they do actually have journalists that work with the club on a daily basis.
