New Everton Stadium

You know what, mate - and I know the esk wont have this - but I struggle to believe that Moshiri isn't a glorified cats paw of Usmanov's.

No way does a feller like Usmanov hand over 10% of a massive business like Metalloinvest to a bean counter. It sounds most 'un-oligarchic' to me. That cash, imo, is parked with Moshiri. Everton - again imo - are just another Usmanov investment. I would not be at all surprised if this new stadium, if it ever sees the light of day, is built with his company's steel. Every which way Usmanov/Moshiri will gain from this BMD venture: they'll get the profit from a future club sale boosted into the stratosphere by a new stadium build on a world heritage site, and they'll probably be funders of it by loaning money to the club with interest on it coming back to them via the SPV...and they'll be involved in construction.

This will be a very nice earner for Moshiri and his boss. An elegantly constructed deal indeed.

I realise that much of this is conjecture and opinion, but I dont believe that the steel Usmanov is involved with, is used in the construction industry.

USM Steel & Mining Group Limited provides exploration and development services for diversified minerals and metals including steel. The company was formerly known as Gallagher Holdings Limited and changed its name to USM Steel & Mining Group Limited in May 2012. The company is based in Nicosia, Cyprus.

That was pulled from Bloomberg bio page.

I think the plan is to borrow the full amount of the build.
Problem will come when the build overshoots its budget as they always do on build this size.

A 10% over run is 30 million and the club will either have to stump it up or get the Vehicle investors to cough up more.

I don't know but it would make more financial sense to use the naming rights money for squad investment.

Naming rights payments are normally spread over a period of time e.g. 10 yrs so this money could be used for staggered payments or for players wages , and with Moshiri's contacts I think 150 million is a low target.
This takeover and all the financial dealings has Usmanov written all over it.

He has failed and will continue to fail to gain control at Arsenal and the supporters group will fail as well.

I can see him coming out of the shadows to take control of the club when the stadium is completed and the squad rebuilt

As it is his companies have already invested in Finch farm and that's no coincidence.

Usmanov by all accounts wants to be the next Abramovich and so far Arsenal has not worked out for him
A club with a new stadium and a squad in the top 6/7 and European maybe just what he's looking for.
Not as glamorous as London but he will make do.
Bang on... The Mosh is setting this up for his mate as well as himself. Usminov has looked at City and thought.. if Mansur can build his footy empire/toy 'up North' so can I...But he won't sell up at Arsenal and look an idiot if we couldn't get the stadium and location sorted. I think he'll be here not long after the shovels go in the ground.

I think you are all taking some of the good stuff and having the same Usmadream really.

He isn't leaving Arsenal. If a man of his wealth wanted to, he would have already taken over and he wouldn't wait on a stadium being built first by his good friend.

Time to get real I think.

Absolutely, Absolutely bang on!! Of course. Ask yourself what you would do.. when they both owned Red and White Holdings, they have stated in a joint open letter to the Arsenal fans that they were unhappy with the way the Arsenal board virtually made the fans pay for the stadium (via huge season ticket prices) over 10 years when the Arsenal board were wealthy enough to fund it themselves and if they were in charge they would have used their own money (though their companies) to pay for it...afterwards if or when it was sold they could fairly take the profits. Where as, if Arsenal was sold now Kronke and Co would take the profits after the fans were the ons to have paid for the stadium over the years. You can find this open letter on Arsenal forums etc.
The funding will be coming from USMinov or the lenders who deal with USM already.

Back to the new stadium
Done done googling and Usmanov has a British investment company called Gallagher.
Moshiri is/was the head of this company.
Don't be surprised if they are one of the investors in the vehicle to finance the new stadium, or maybe that would be too close to Usmanov for the premier league to allow
I like where the detective in you is taking you... that the sort of joined up thinking that cracks this case Watson!!! ;)

Well let's get real...

1, You're Uzminov so you tell the Arsenal board you're fed up being ignored.

2, You sell your shares in Arsenal and stamp out.

3, Buy into Everton and say you're going to make them into a top four club buy investing in the squad but you need a new stadium to make it sustainable.

4, You want a prestigious waterfront location that the owners of the land have said in the past they DON'T want a football stadium on. So Peel won't sell you the good land and the LLC say you can whistle for an SPV.

5, You look a complete and utter idiot. With the Arsenal board and the rest of the Premier League laughing up their sleeves at you/Everton.

These men don't leave themselves open to this sort of thing.
This is just my opinion on how things are and I do believe Usminov will end up here and Moshiri is getting everything into place for them both and I'm not devaluing Moshiri's contribution as it probably wouldn't have happened but for his know how. But only when everything is nailed on he will sell up at Arsenal.

I may not be right but I don't think this opinion is in the 'dream world'. You disagree and I respect your opinion. But this isn't being a fantasist, I'm not 'on something'

The problem with all that being that Usmanov could just but the whole waterfront off peel if he wanted. He could pay off anyone.

Surely, because of FFP, Usmanov cannot add much more to the project than Moshiri? Once the stadium is built, and Mosh is master of these SPVs, we can only invest relative to what we earn? How would having his gazillions help? (as stupid as that sounds!)

I'm not saying Usmanov is likely to get involved. If he did though the difference would be that he could fund the stadium build with pocket change (I believe allowable under FFP because it is Capital Expenditure) whereas Moshiri will help us get the funding (maybe underwrite loans etc). New stadium will be a game changer, new stadium without debt repayments would be a leap forward that could see us move ahead of some of our rivals for top 4/6 financially.
