The original design of that stadium isn't the point though. They built a raised platform to accommodate a track.
There's no reason that same principle couldn't be used, albeit with a higher platform to give a wide enough circumference.
If the stadium design were to be compromised in order to facilitate a track, then I doubt many would be behind it, including Moshiri, as it would contradict Meis's brief, which was all about atmosphere.

If I was him and I read some of these idiots posts who with there schoolboy accountancy and finger wagging who probably can't meet their own gas bills and are telling him is is shady and he's not allowed to make money...... Shady after 20 years of ducking and diving with offshore loans and Philip Green..then telling him he should do this and that
I'd say duck you lot and call in my £80 million loan, get my money back from the land sale and sell my shares to someone like the Venkey's..... There's a gift horse round the corner... go look in its mouth.

Although it'd be incredibly bitter, I'd be interested to see where Moshiri pulling out today and where it would put us. Not as bitter as those desperate for something with Moshiri to go wrong so they could say I told you so on the internet.
