New Everton Stadium

The stadium and infrastructure of the club is exempt from FFP, hence why City can redevelop south Manchester
I know it is however that's not the question I posed. If we where to fund it now from money that could legitimately used for the squad if a sugar daddy came in could he then fund the squad? I suspect probably but it would require some creative accounting to push forward the costs to a future financial year.

Goodison is a fantastic stadium full of history however unless we want our club to also be consigned to history it's time to move. We'll make more memories in the new stadium.

I quite agree but it comes down to WHERE that is the problem. There was a quite good plan to do up GP but it got lost! There is mention of it back some where in this thread.

There probably was a good plan and in theory these things look good however I don't think Bill is wanting to move out of spite for the fans. It probably comes down to practical concerns. Planning permission, infrastructure, timeframe etc

Personally I would love us to stay at Goodison but there is another simpler problem. The naming rights would probably go to funding a fair chunk and I wouldn't like to see Goodison renamed. If that was the case I would just prefer to move rather than have it's memory ruined.

As for where I think it's going to be Walton Hall Park.

what kind of warped logic is that?

I love goodison that much id rather leave (to a stadium with naming rights) than stay and have naming rights.

God help your mrs if she changes her hair colour!
