New Everton Stadium

Slightly off topic but, those wishing BK would do one I can understand BUT, only 2 takeovers of prem teams have actually poved successfull and that is Sh1tty and Chelsea. The rest have not done anything other than sell their souls and or gone backwards.

Yes, Bill needs to go but would rather him than Venkys, Ashley, Gaydamark (SP), Lerner, H&G, etc.

Just who does everyone want him to sell us to?
Bill Gates.

he didn't though, the opposite actually. he said there's not enough demand for corporate at goodison
totally wrong again

But he did emphasise this is vital ("the big commercial companies having boxes is what's important") and he does emphasise that Everton need to use any incoming cash for infrastructure...so what is he suggesting? He rules out a new stadium as being non-essential. There's no advocacy for Goodison redevelopment either. He merely states we need to be 'grounded' (grow non-media revenue, restrain wages, cut operating costs). We're missing what he means when he says all of this income and savings needs to go into infrastructue - because he doesn't identify it. That's why I thought the implication has to be that he advocates more corporate boxes: I'm trying to fill in that gap where an explanation (his explanation) should have been.

What is the infrastructure he talks of then if not corporate boxes? It's as clear as mud to me.

Exactly mate.

Just the other week it was the boy's birthday so we had a party and hired a clown. The clown turned up smelling like a distillery and stale smoke. His makeup was shocking and he even swore a few times.

The wife was disgusted and said to me " I have booked him for his holy communion party, think I will cancel that and book a new clown " I looked at her and said " wait a minute, yes he was drunk and dirty looking but if we were to book a new clown we could end up with John Gacy. He spikes my drink and bums me to death and buries me under his house with the rest of his victims"

Lets be content with what we have eh.

Confucius did say....

so what was the point of this, to remind us we're a poor club with no vision. Bill and his cronies are too old, we need new plans, vision, ruthless marketing. New ideas.

HAHA, fair enough.

Just wondering who you want us to have been bought by that isn't Sheik manssor or Roman? There has been no one else it appears (looking at the other clubs).

BTW, the clown turned up to my sons party stinking of skunk. DId a few tricks etc then said "sorry mate gotta go, southampton are playing live on TV". He left his stuff for the kids to play with and fecked off an hour early!

I've never understood the 'other clubs have had worse owners so let's stick with our less awful Chairman that's slowly destroying the club' line of thought.

Everton mentality. Stems from the top right through the heart of the fan base unfortunately.

Top flight football in every league in the world is all about business. People moan about how football is different, all about the money, only created in 1992, Sky & BT blah blah, but that's the way it is. That can't and will never be changed now.

If you want to just enjoy football either disengage yourself from the business side and don't complain when we don't sign anyone in the transfer windows or support your local football league or non-league team. Go watch Bootle Town or the likes and just enjoy the fresh air on a Saturday afternoon paying £4 to get in, £1.50 for a coffee and £3 for a burger.

As much as I love Everton I know that as things currently are, meaning the board and the business aspect of club

1 - We'll never win the league

2 - It'll be tough to win a domestic cup

3 - Qualifying for consecutive CL group stages and therefore increasing commercial and business prospects are very unlikely

4 - We won't have a new stadium any time soon

5 - We won't get new owners until sadly current board members' health declines

Sadly there's not a lot 'we' (Everton fans) can do about this because our fan base and reach isn't as big as other clubs and the fan base is so fractured it's unbelievable, we seen that when Kenwright got a stand ovation the other year.

Basically nothing will change any time soon because most fans just are not that bothered really, they’re happy playing in the PL regularly, wishing for a cup run, feeling that we don’t have the right to beat Chelsea or ‘that lot’ but it’s nice to have bragging rights when we do.

Yep. Most aren't bothered as long as we stay in the pl. kenwright isn't bothered as he will remain chairman and live his dream. Until/if we struggled the pressure then would be on kenwright. Our chairman and board are crap and offer us nothing of moving forward just stability yay. "Nil satis nisi optimum" used to mean something.....

I refuse to believe a club in the top 20 rich list, a club in the biggest league in the world, a club that out of 20 is only one of THREE that haven't been invested in...couldn't seek proper investment/attract better sponsors/attract business.

Unless, the businessmen inside Everton are unwilling to sell/unwilling to find/unwilling to push the club.

The problem is so much of our fanbase has been conditioned it's scary. Last night after years of feeling it, i had enough. I had a mini rant on twitter and concluded that WE need to make ourselves heard. WE need to act and start the ball rolling.

Quite a few felt the same way, but unfortunately a few still believe it's "kopite behaviour" or "laughable" to protest or to try and make things happen.

If you honestly believe either of these things then shame on you. Shame on you for watching our beautiful club slowly die from the inside out. WE have a voice and we need to use it. Everything is shot down because previous protests didn't work. Completely different scenario i know...but imagine if Martin Luther had simply given up after the first protest he did when they were savagely beaten.

Unfortunately our fans are too scared of being laughed at, being mocked or being like those across the park. It's time to stop worrying about them and worry about ourselves. We are Everton! We deserve better.

I find it hard to take seriously anyone who says we don't need a new stadium.

I do however agree that the non-football income side of our income has almost been ignored and this is almost criminal.
There is huge income to be earned worldwide from Everton products. The casual clothes market is huge and we seem to have just let it pass us by.
I see many supporters of our neighbours wearing very nice casual clothing of all colours. Many supporters are "plastic supporters" and can live their entire life without contributing very little to the clubs finances.
Giving supporters such as these the opportunity to buy branded goods earns money and helps tie them to the club a little more.

I am sure there must be a small clothing company somewhere bursting with ideas and looking for a partner to expand their business. Maybe we should start with a smaller partner and work up than tie ourselves to bigger brands whose main focus is already on the mega club brands they work for.

Our Club Ownership = it,s the taking part that counts

Until we remove these owners and take it to the next level the bar will be set to the lowest level for the next 20 years.
