New Everton Stadium

this whole process underlines why we need football and business men at our club in leading roles overseeing this project.

utterly shambolic.

2 years in and Everton do not even know what size they want this stadium.

how any of you lot can say this hasn't been anything but shambolic is baffling

It's a long process still, and six months ago I'd have tried to argue with you. The silence now though is increasingly worrying. If they have not decided on a capacity then surely Meis must be miles away from a final design.

Just a complete mess, typical Everton really. I am no fan of Kenwright by any stretch, but i am becoming less and less convinced by Moshiri as the weeks go on, the guy just comes across as clueless. He must understand the fans put up with years of Blue Bill spinning his famous lines about new stadiums and investment etc etc, Moshiri needs to actually produce the goods because fans aint going to put up with it all again.

The original document said 50k, Kenwright has said the minimum for Everton should be 55k and now Elstone is saying it won't be a huge increase, despite saying we can be more ambitious with the capacity.

I give up with this shambles of a club.

If they are saying that 40k season tickets that puts the capacity at around 50k provided the ratio were to stay the same. Presumably there will be a hefty increase in premium/corporate seating as well so that puts it on track for 55k capacity for me. Aviva stadium in Dublin has about 10k premium level seats as a comparison and 1300 capacity in the corporate boxes.

am thinking 55k with room to expand
Could it not be more that we're following the Liverpool model? Instead of having 90% ST holders, we lower the % to open up for more tourism tickets?

As much as i'd love it to be die hard blues, if we want to aim bigger and bring in more, allowing more seats for daytrippers is the method to use.

RE has said corp will be tripled so you'd be looking about 4.5 to 5k there.

Yeah, I was lying along mate. What a pleb I am. I said 60k and now I'm saying 58k. What a massive discrepancy in planned capacity, that totally proves I'm full of it, me. There's absolutely no chance that I heard stuff, posted it on GOT, and then got it all clarified since March 21st, and posted again on here.

Can't be arsed posting anymore, at least for now. You got me. Think what you like mate.

Oh no

They only decided upon the dock site about a year ago......

Some bed wetting in this thread.

They don’t know the capacity, they haven’t got mock drawings......we’re still no further on.

I think you’ll find they know virtually everything to do with this ground from capacity to full drawings ready to be submitted.

They’ve just not chose to show you them yet.

We have seen capacities and drawings for the Kings Dock & Kirkby though, that went well.

Exactly. Drawings are already done. In that perspective that fan survey was a bit daft but based on its info they can do final tunings if they see it worth while.
